“We want to further develop and improve Sipho with the feedback that we can get during the early access period. Sipho allows almost countless ways you can progress throughout the game and we want to make sure that everything is well balanced before we release the final product.”

“We plan to have Sipho in Early Access for around a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version of Sipho will have more content and extended replayability. We are going to add a sandbox mode, that will allow players to fully unleash their creativity. The full game will also contain features and content driven by the community feedback.

The full version will also utilize more Steam features like achievements and trading cards.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently has a campaign mode with some story elements, where you start as a small one-part creature and progress throughout the game by killing other creatures, gaining resources, growing new parts, discovering interesting part combinations, fighting big bosses, reaching new maps.

There are 4 species, each with different distinct parts that you can combine and build as you want.
8 procedurally generated maps with 4 main bosses in-between them.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The pricing will be consistent during the Early Access. It might increase for the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be actively involved with the community through Steam. We encourage players to share their creations, game breaking combinations, positive and negative feedback. We hope we can address all the issues and make the game better and more fun for everyone.”

About This Game

Sipho is a game that combines eerie real life underwater creatures, insects, body parts with building, combat and exploration. Create your own creature by combining various parts, called zooids. Each zooid specializes in some sort of function – some zooids eat food, others are responsible for movement, attacking other creatures or providing structural support. Most zooids have active and passive abilities. All of the zooids combine into a single creature, Sipho, whose main goal is to climb to the top of the food chain, by using cunning weaponry and various skills.

Collect nutritious food, grow your own creature to become the best of them all. Beware though, there are powerful enemies out there to stop you.

    Create your own ultimate monstrosity by combining different body parts, each with unique function. The further you progress, the more options you unlock, the more powerful you get.

    Unlock 5 different species throughout the game and discover the one that fits your playstyle. Mix and match parts from different species to create the ultimate monstrosity.

    Unleash your creativity in Aquarium game mode. Get unlimited tools for creating creatures of your dreams or nightmares. Create beautiful arenas or mind-bending labyrinths - everything will be saved.

  • Battle cunning bosses
    Show your superiority by defeating the best of their breed bosses to unlock parts to aid in your conquest.

  • Replayability
    Sipho features infinite procedurally generated worlds teeming with life and challenges. Each playthrough will also provide you with different zooids that will further enhance your creature, allowing to try out various playstyles throughout the game.
  • New Game Plus
    After completing the game enter New Game Plus and discover Mutations - passive buffs that will change the way you have played. Enemies Mutate as well so beware of increasing difficulty!
