Why Early Access?

“World of Warplanes has already launched worldwide outside of Steam, but the Steam version has a new game client that needs to be checked. Early Access gives us the chance to gather feedback to implement changes and make necessary adjustments for more pleasant gameplay. We want to be sure that players will have the best experience before World of Warplanes is officially released.”

“The main goal is to check everything, so the final version will not differ much from the Early Access one, as the game has already launched outside of Steam. We will focus on technical issues and gathering player feedback.”

“The Early Access version allows you to play on shared servers and enjoy all the content, so the Early Access version is almost identical to the live client. Consumables in World of Warplanes



All aircraft and their equipment and consumables are split into 3 historic Periods. Period I includes warplanes from Tier I to IV, Period II — Tier V-VII, and Period III — Tier VIII-X. They depict the warplanes’ complexity and technical advancement. Since the consumables are also divided into historic Periods, you are able to install them on the corresponding aircraft.

The cost of the consumables varies depending on their historic Period. All the enhanced consumables available for gold are activated manually.

Personal aircraft type-specific missions

There are five aircraft types in World of Warplanes: fighters, multirole fighters, heavy fighters, attack aircraft and bombers. Every aircraft type is designed to perform its unique battle missions and contributes to the fight in its own way.

Type Efficiency System
When you perform actions corresponding to the type of your aircraft during the battle you enhance your total type grade.


Grade V

Grade II
Grade I

Total type grade depends on 3 battle missions which have 5 levels each. Every aircraft type has its own specific missions.




The higher total type grade is the more credits and experience you get after the battle.

Upgrade your aircraft with various weapons, engines, equipment, and consumables.

Maps and layouts
In World of Warplanes, battles unfold at picturesque in-game locations. Although most of them are original, the maps are based on real landscape types that can be found in different corners of the planet.
