About This Game

Put on the mask. Enter the Pit. Fight your way out.

MASKED is a 3D action roguelite. Slash, roll and cast your way down a dungeon that changes every time you drop in. Learn each foe's tells, dodge at the last moment, and break the warden waiting at the end of every floor.

A boy falls a long way, into a wood at the bottom of a pit, and finds a mask in the leaves. He puts it on, and it blazes.

EVERY DESCENT IS DIFFERENT

• Each descent goes four floors down, through a different realm at every depth. There are 16 realms, from Frostfall's ice cliffs to the Ember Depths and the Starwell above the night sky.
  
• Every realm has its own foes, traps and warden. Rooms, shops, treasure and trials are laid out fresh on every run.

MASTER THE MASKS

• 20+ masks, each with its own weapon, skill and special. Raise a wall of ice with Rime, call down a falling star with the Stargazer, or split the ground with the Ashen mask's eruption.
  
• Masks are found cracked in the Pit, and the Mask-maker mends them. Every one changes how you fight.

BUILD YOUR OWN PLAYSTYLE

• Pick a powerup after each fight, grow your blade, and find sidearms and armaments.
  
• Trade with the peddler, combine skills and powerups, and make each run's build your own.
  
• Take vows for harder descents and better rewards.

PLAY SOLO OR TOGETHER

• The whole game plays solo and offline.
  
• Invite up to three Steam friends to your fire in the Keep, or share its four-letter code with friends playing on iPhone or Android. The foes grow tougher with every hero.

DEATH IS NOT THE END

• Fall, and you wake in the Keep with your souls and finds.
  
• Turn souls into Renown at the bonfire, learn from the Upgrade Book, free the keepers caged in the Pit, and go down again stronger.
  
• Feats, a daily descent, bounties and a journal keep every run counting.

UNCOVER THE TRUTH

• In the Keep, the Watcher waits with his lantern. Each warden's echo gives back a piece of the evening the boy has forgotten.
  
• Several endings, and a Great Door that opens onto the Deep: rooms without end.
