What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Bad Blood is a unique spin on the last man standing gameplay and the first competitive multiplayer title in the Dying Light franchise - as such it will greatly benefit from a strong and focused community, whose feedback and suggestions will help us create the definitive brutal royale experience. We had a great two-way communication with our fans of the original Dying Light, and with Bad Blood we’d like to include the community in the development process as soon as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to release the game early 2019. However, we first want to make sure our Founders are happy with the experience they got, so we’ll always give priority to the game’s quality over strictly sticking to this timeline. This means slight changes to the final release date are possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“"The full version of Bad Blood will feature new mechanics, features, and a wealth of additional content. These things will be added gradually throughout the whole Early Access phase.

The planned features include:

- Additional maps
- New game modes, including the Duo Mode
- Ranked matchmaking and leaderboards
- Additional language versions
- Regular in-game events
- Redesigned HUD
- Advanced metagame
- New customisation items

On top of that, the game will be further supported with new content updates and balances fixes before and after its launch. The game will also switch to a free-to-play model."”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Dying Light: Bad Blood is gradually expanded throughout the Early Access phase. This means new mechanics, features, and content are constantly added to the game, including additional language versions, a new custom map, and the Duo mode. Our reasoning is we want to gather as much feedback as possible and shape the game together with our community, so we won’t be holding content back until the full release if we can improve it in collaboration with our Founders.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“You can join the Early Access phase through the Founder’s Pack. On top of an instant access to the game, you also get exclusive in-game items that will never ever be available in any other way, as well as 1000 Blood bucks you can use in the game to customise your character however you want. Once Bad Blood leaves the Early Access and switches to the free-to-play model, the Founder’s Pack will no longer be available.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively monitor the comments, discussions, and suggestions on all official channels: Steam Community, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube as well as at http://badblood.support.techland.pl. The very point of going Early Access with Bad Blood is to engage our Founder in the development process, so we’ll do everything we can to encourage feedback and make it easy for players to express their thoughts.”
