Why Early Access?

“Battle Splash is my solo project from 2012, with the aim is to create a multiplayer game that is Fast, Intense and Exciting without any need of violence so that everyone, regardless of ages, can enjoy. The game is nearly completed, with almost every features intended. However, there are still many things that needed to be considered before the final version - from Game Balancing, Graphic Update, Content Update to Optimization and Bug Fixes. Since I want the game to be played in many different ways, and to be Fun, Epic and Friendly as possible, community input is very important. Therefore, Early Access is a perfect opportunity for me to get feedback from the community and to further polish/improve the game with better gameplay and cool new features.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I intended to finish the game in approximately a year or less, as the game is designed to be as balanced and performance friendly as possible. There is also about Modding Supports, Content and Design Direction for this game, which will take a lot of time to develop/consider.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final release should be more stable and more enjoyable than the Early Access version. Furthermore, new features/content such as Maps and Modes will be featured in the Final Release. Also, modding support will be further improved, so that everyone can make use of as much Battle Splash's features as possible.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already contains all features in Battle Splash, including all gameplay features, 4 playable maps, 3 different playing modes, etc... The only thing missing is Full Modding supports (as only characters modding support at the moment), which will be released when the game is near completed. In short: it is considered as Stable release, although there might be unforeseen bugs/glitches during gameplay. However, I will make sure that players won't have many issues with every update.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price for the game might change during its development stage. However, I do want to make sure that the game price will be reasonable.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Battle Splash is big for me, so every feedback counts. I'm always happy to listen to any constructive feedback since it provides valuable idea that helps me further improving the game. Please understand that not all feedback will be implemented since there are a lot of constraints for me, but at the very least, I'll read them, and I'd be very appreciated.”

Patch v1.686 - Français Language fixes, Network update phrase 1, and some minor updates

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to announce the latest patch for Battle Splash 2.0. The majority of this patch is French language fixes and Network improvements. Check out the full release notes below:

  • Animation: The girls can now express their facial emotion like the previous version of the game.
  • Gameplay: Fixed some logic bug for some game modes.
  • Language: Re-translate the entire French translation.
  • Networking: (Phrase 1) allowed multiple master server, thus should make it easier for gameplay for different region.
  • Networking: (Phrase 1) stops using packet throttling to save up bandwidth. Since the core gameplay of Battle Splash can handle medium-high latency, packet-loss handling and out-of-the-box/flexible networking are now major concern over latency.
  • Performance: Minor fixes on performance.
  • Performance: Reduced RAM usage for the game over long game time.
  • Physics: Characters are now got pushed away correctly upon collision with Splashes and Water Balloons/Bullets.

I'm happy to announce the next Official version of Battle Splash is now available!

This update is more about Languages supports, Graphics enhancement, and Optimization.

Language Supports
From this update onward, Battle Splash will (partially) support different languages.

Currently, those are the official translated/supported languages:
  • Tiếng Việt (Vietnamese)
  • 简体中文 (Simplified Chinese)
  • 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese)
  • 日本語 (Japanese)
  • 한국어 (Korean)
  • Français (French)
  • Pусский (Russian)

You can choose your language here at the Main Menu:

Additionally, you can create your own language for the game by accessing and cloning the Langs/en/ folder.

Note: There are some phrases are not yet translated, and are subjected to change in the future.

Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0 (or Battle Splash 2.0 for short) is an Epic Fast-Paced, Bullet-Dodging, Competitive, Team-Based Third Person Shooter that Creatively Redefines the Shooter Genre with No Killing, No Blood, No Violence, and full Water Splashes Physics. Fight against Dozen of Enemies, Dodging thousands of Bullet while facing off Giant Robot, all At-The-Same-Time! Your Class may be your Fate, your Actions and Skills may change your Destiny, yet your Tactic will shape your Path to Victory!

Battle Splash tells a story about Trianga Polyga, who created a Virtual/Augmented Reality system that could simulate real-life experience/environment in an enclosed area, called "Brainwave Oriented Simulation System (or B.O.S.s)". She then wrote "Battle Splash", a game inside B.O.S.s that features high speed Water Balloons and Water simulation in order to create the most intense Squirt Gun Battle ever. She then invited her friend (Temiko Kangara), her cousin (Pentaga Polyga) and her sister (Quadra Polyga) to test the game out. After an unexpected journey due to a bug during the test, she then further improved the game, and made the second version of it: "Battle Splash 2.0".

The game is designed to be as Easy to Play as possible, while still keeps the best features of Classic Arena Shooter and Class-based Shooter. Battle Splash's gameplay heavily relies on Water Splash Mechanic, which changes the shape of the Splash Explosion depending on the surrounding area. In addition, the game is fully Physics-based, leading to Ballistic Bullets, Bouncing Balloons and lots of Physics features, thus feel free to perform some "Redefined" old tricks from Arena Shooter such as Bullet Dodging, Rocket Jump or Balloons Hop.

For even more diversity in gameplay, player can take control of the 4 playable Characters, which represent 4 different Classes in the game. Each character has their own Stats and Abilities that when combined with each Weapon they can further improve their performance or change their role in battle in real-time. Weapons' behavior can also change in real-time thus even more combinations can be carried out.

However, without a proper Tactic, your Victory cannot be ensured. Carefully Organize your team, Analyze necessary information, and Carry out your plan perfectly are the keys to success. There are many Paths players can take in order to achieve the Ultimate Victory. Be Flexible, or be Determined, or be Open-minded about your Approaches.
