Why Early Access?

“Early Access gives us the opportunity to continue developing the game together with the players who enjoy its skill-based melee combat, PvPvE Extraction and competitive PvP.

Player feedback has already played an important role during our playtests, and we want to continue using feedback and gameplay data to improve combat, balancing, progression and maps throughout Early Access.

Our goal is to grow and refine Usurpator together with our community on the road to version 1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Usurpator to remain in Early Access for approximately one year. This may change depending on player feedback and how development progresses.

We want to leave Early Access when the game has reached the level of content, balance and polish we are aiming for.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More content
Throughout Early Access, we plan to expand Usurpator with:

• Additional Extraction maps
  
• New bosses and enemies
  
• More weapons and equipment
  
• Additional progression content

Expanded systems and features
We also plan to further develop the Forging system, character progression, PvP, matchmaking and social features.

Continued refinement
Alongside new content, we will continue improving existing maps, combat, balancing and quality-of-life features based on player feedback and gameplay data.

Our plans may evolve throughout Early Access as we learn what our players enjoy most and where the game needs further improvement.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the start of Early Access, Usurpator will include:

• 3 PvPvE Extraction maps

• Character progression and talents
  
• Equipment and loot progression
  
• Forging
  
• Multiplayer parties
  
• 1v1 Arena across 2 dedicated PvP maps
  
• 8-player Free-for-All across 4 dedicated PvP maps

Skill-based melee combat
The core of Usurpator is its skill-based melee combat, built around parrying, dodging, kicking, combos and stamina management.

Fight, loot and extract
Venture into Extraction maps, battle enemies and bosses, collect equipment and loot, develop your character and attempt to extract with your rewards.

Dedicated PvP modes
Looking for pure PvP? Compete in 1v1 Arena duels or face off against other players in 8-player Free-for-All battles.

Ongoing development
Throughout Early Access, Usurpator will continue to receive balancing changes, improvements, fixes and new content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Usurpator will be available at a lower price during Early Access to reflect its in-development state and as a thank-you to players who support us early.

We plan to increase the price as the game grows and approaches its full 1.0 release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Built with community feedback
Community feedback is a major part of how we develop Usurpator. Even before Early Access, hundreds of players have participated in our public playtests and provided feedback that has directly influenced combat, balancing, maps, progression and quality-of-life improvements.

During Early Access, we plan to continue collecting feedback through:

We will also share development updates and continue testing new features and improvements with our players.
