What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We had a great experience running the original Train Valley in Early Access. It helped us to improve the game, tune the balancing and add new features. As a result, we're looking forward to working with the community again to make Train Valley 2 the best it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Currently, we plan to be in Early Access for one year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Train Valley 2 will contain:
- 50 levels;
- 6 generations of locomotives;
- A fully-functional Level Editor with Steam Workshop integration;
- Modding support.
And of course, we will pay a great deal of attention to balancing the existing core mechanics.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable now, and contains the following features:
- 20 levels.
- 4 generations of locomotives.
- Level Editor (will be available for players during Early Access).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game's price will increase after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll engage with the community primarily on Steam forums. We are eagerly waiting your feedback on both new features and the balancing of core gameplay. We'll also need help with testing the Level Editor, and the modding tools when they're ready.”

Best Level Contest

Hello, train lovers! As you already know, a few days ago we released the Train Valley 2 level editor – the tool that we ourself use for creating the levels that you play in the game. If Train Valley 2 is all about creating your own railroad network in beautiful low-poly landscapes, with this tool you can create those landscapes and fill them with challenges for other players to overcome thanks to its Steam Workshop integration.

We know that we have a very passionate and talented community, and we want to reward that passion and see the great levels that you create using the editor. That’s why today we announce a contest for all Train Valley 2 players: create a level and upload it to the Workshop of the game. In one month from now (by July 15th) we will pick the best one and send him or her a gift from our Train Valley 2 merchandise shop: a t-shirt or hoodie of his or her choice.

Maybe you want to make the most beautiful landscape for trains to travel across. Or a level so devilishly difficult that even the creators of the game have a hard time to beat. Do you think you have what it takes to be a railway engineer? Create your own level to find out – we’re looking forward to playing your creations! Choo-choo! :tv2conductor:
