What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Although fully usable, and highly developed, we have a large vision for the future of Microdose VR. We are actively working on expanding the core functionality, and building more content to explore.

Microdose VR (Early Access) currently includes the following set of content:

- 1 Wand Set
- 3 Worlds + Black World
- 6 Post Process Effects
- 18 Color Stories
- 108 Particle Brushes”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We are currently on an 18 month development cycle.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Based on our roadmap, we plan to be doing consistent updates to the core experience, adding new features and tools. The full version will have a significantly larger database of brushes and worlds to explore, as well as exposing tools for users to build their own worlds.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We are in early Beta. The game is fully playable. We have been travelling to conferences, music festivals and galleries around the world, using it not only as a real time VJ tool, but bringing thousands of people into their first VR experience. We consider it early Beta since the core functionality is there, but there are a few things we are polishing for full release.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of Microdose VR will increase after we complete our development cycle as there will be a massive jump in terms of functionality and content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community is very important to us, and based on the huge groundswell of support and inquiries for beta access, we are releasing this in Early Access. We absolutely view community as the future of Microdose VR, so want to get feedback and impressions early, giving the users the ability to contribute ideas for future worlds and features. Microdose VR is about "creative experience", so the response from the community is invaluable to us in our development process.”

Reviews

“With the complexity of engineering and development required to create VR software, it feels unattainable and out of reach to most digital artists and musicians, and there is currently no clear platform for artists and musicians to make their own truly unique creative splash into the VR space. Microdose VR paves the way for creatives to get involved and make their mark in Virtual Reality, and offers a social multiplayer gaming platform unlike anything that has come before”

“MicrodoseVR provides one of the wildest experiences we know”
