About This Game

CELLMATES is a 12-player online party game about breaking out of prison, or stopping everyone else from doing it.

You have three days before death row. Pick a side.

PRISONERS scrounge scrap, craft shivs and screwdrivers, hide contraband in your bunk, pry open vents and work your way to the perimeter. Keep your heat down: every guard on the block is looking for a reason.

GUARDS run the roll call, search cells, taser and cuff suspects, and send the worst offenders to solitary. Nobody walks out on your watch.

• Two prisons. Greybar is a walled block of vents, tunnels and searchlights. Gull Rock is a whole island with a quarry, a harbour, a lighthouse and very hungry sharks.
• Many ways out. Vents, digging, the garbage truck, ropes over the fence, a chopper ticket for the bold, or a boat you built yourself from whatever you could steal.
• Build it, drag it, launch it. Haul your boat down to the water by hand and try not to lose your grip. Your friends can grab you too, and they will.
• A new game every morning. Vote on the day's event: musical cells, stop the clock, king of the pit, prison riot, or a dinghy regatta round the island.
• One clock, shifting rules. Roll call, work shifts, free time and lights-out run the day. Miss one and the block notices.
• A living prison. NPC inmates and guards fill the place, and they notice what you do.
• Play with friends. Host a lobby, invite through Steam, and fill the block.
