About This Game

Every balloon empire starts with one balloon. Blow it up yourself, tie the knot, and get to work.

Balloons Inc. is a cheerful first-person factory game about making, testing and popping balloons. Start in a leaky rented shed with a box of red latex and a folding table, and grow it into a gleaming five-tier balloon empire with roaring production lines, a testing range, an R&D lab, a bouncy castle business, a hot air balloon company and a stratospheric launch field. Play it solo, or run the whole thing with up to 3 friends.

Slice open the delivery box, take out a balloon and blow. Every balloon has its own sweet spot: stop in the PERFECT zone for top quality, push your luck for a bigger balloon, or pop it right in your face. Circle the string around the neck, pull it tight, and land the BULLSEYE knot. Hand-made balloons are where every empire begins.

One line becomes two, then six. Sky Lifts carry balloons up and over crossing lines, smart sorters split them by type, overhead tube senders fire them to testing and shipping, and glass storage tanks fill up with floating stock. Treat your balloons with glitter fills, chocolate dips and gold leaf for bigger profits.

Then upgrade the factory itself. All five tiers rebuild the hall around you, from a grimy shed with boarded skylights and a hand-painted sign to neon branding, a catwalk, a patrol drone, a hologram balloon, a crystal chandelier and your logo lit up over the launch field door. The Control Desk, the testing range and the factory radio all grow with it.

BalloOS, the facility computer, holds eight research trees: craftsmanship, product lines, treatments, automation, the testing range, business, inflatables and the R&D lab. Climb each branch to unlock new machines, balloon lines from pastel latex to living galaxies, and whole new businesses. Bring the abandoned Elasticity Lab back to life and run hands-on experiments for permanent boosts.

Load the pneumatic cannon and fire your balloons into the testing range, then grab the Pop Blaster and pop them out of the air. Chain mid-air pops into combos, hunt the rare golden balloons, and turn every burst of confetti into Research Points. The range starts as old mattresses and a tarp and ends as a neon POP ZONE with sliding targets.

Play the whole game in online co-op with up to 4 players. One of you hosts the factory and everyone works the same floor: blow and tie together, build lines side by side, line up at the range and pop the sky clear. Join through Steam with one click, or use a simple join code.

Research the Inflatables Division and the big door behind the stage rolls up on Big Top Inflatables. Press every castle part on the six-in-one Mold Press, each with its own mini-game, set the parts on the blueprint pad, blow the whole castle up, bounce-test it and ship it out in the delivery truck. Eleven designs, from the Classic Castle to the Pirate Ship, the Octopus Reef, the Dragon's Lair and the Unicorn Sky Palace.

Open Updraft Aeronautics on the launch field. Sew the envelope's gores, fire-test the burner and weave the wicker basket, then climb in and fly the balloon to the customer's field yourself, riding the winds at different heights to steer, and land it on the X.

The ultimate goal: Project Stratos. Build a stratospheric balloon part by part on the launch pad, count it down and ride it 38,000 metres up, past the clouds to where the sky turns black and the Earth curves away beneath you.
