About This Game

Rival Waves is a tower defense where you are the hero. Fight at the front of your lane, draft a new skill every level, and spend your gold to grow stronger or to send creeps across the map. Break your rival's King before they break yours: solo against the AI, online with friends, or in ranked PvP.

Draft a build that is yours

Every level-up deals a hand of skill cards. Upgrade them, evolve them, and when your bar is full infuse one skill into another so it casts both. Pick one of six heroes: the Warrior who holds the front line, the Mage of fire, frost and arcane, the Archer and her hawk, the Engineer with turrets and gadgets, the Priestess of storm and grace, or the Necromancer who raises the dead. More heroes are on the way.

Four ultimates per hero

Each hero has ultimates that turn a lane around. Time them well: a big one can clear a wave or save a bad one.

Bosses that make you move

A boss arrives every five waves: the Ogre, the Stone Golem, the Demon and the Dragon, and the Lord of the Night on the last night. Their big attacks are marked on the ground and can take almost half your life. Read the warning, dodge, then punish.

A merchant that never closes

Buy and sell potions and gear at the Merchant, between waves or in the middle of one. A few slots, constant choices.

Fight side by side

• Duel 1v1: you against a rival, human or AI.

• Alliance 2v2: two heroes on the same lane. If you fall, your ally can revive you at the cross.

• War 4v4: four heroes hold one lane against four rivals.

• Online: play in a party, team up against the AI, or set up a custom lobby.

• Ranked play with ratings and a leaderboard.

Fire your ultimates together with an ally and trigger Resonance: shorter cooldowns, a shield for your King and a bonus effect for each hero.

Towers that hold the lane

Call down towers and level them up to hold your lane. The Engineer builds the most of them, and each hero brings towers of its own.

Send creeps. Break the King.

Gold is not only for you. Buy sends to flood your rival's lane with monsters, raise your income, or call a boss on them. Every creep you send carries your banner.

21 waves, four seasons, one night

Spring, summer, autumn and winter, then a final night of survival at wave 21.
