About This Game

50 MILLION NEEDLES. 1 PIECE OF HAY.

So... You managed to find the needle in a haystack - Now it's time for a real challenge and find the hay in the needlestack. Somewhere in a pile of roughly 50 million needles; A piece of hay is hiding, and you must find it. Digging by hand hurts. Climbing the pile hurts. Go deep enough and the needles are rusty... which gives you tetanus.

MELT THE NEEDLES FOR METAL

Metal pays for everything. Spend it on a shovel and a wheelbarrow. Then drills that bore into the pile, drone bays whose drones fly the loads to a smelter, a boring machine, and conveyor belts.

PLAY SOLO OR WITH UP TO 5 FRIENDS (OR ENEMIES)

Host a lobby and friends can join with a room code or an invite. Anyone who shows up late walks straight in. Or play solo and bleed alone. A shovelful or handful of needles can be thrown. If it lands in a smelter or a barrow, it goes in. If a friend is in the way, it goes into them. You will do this on purpose... probably.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR DIGGER - NO MICROTRANSACTIONS

Make your digger in the character creator. The extra parts are earned by playing, for things like lasting the nights, taking your shots and finding the hay. None of them are for sale - you have to earn them... like the good 'ol days.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Hay in a Needlestack has cartoon blood and slapstick injury. Digging through a pile of needles hurts: your character’s hands get cut and bleed, blood stains build up on characters as they get hurt, and a player who loses too much blood goes down. Players can throw shovelfuls of needles at each other, which hurts the player they hit. It’s all played for laughs and drawn in a low-poly cartoon style, with no realistic wounds or dismemberment.

Injuries are treated with bandages and tetanus shots, which players inject with a syringe. These are medical items only, and the game has no drug or alcohol use.

There is no sexual content, no nudity and no story content dealing with sexual assault or self-harm.
