A star has fallen. Every kingdom is coming for it.

Beneath the grass and fallen leaves lies a world of insect empires. When a blazing star crashes into the deep Wilds, its shards scatter across the land, and whoever absorbs one gains its elemental power. Within days, every kingdom is at war over them.

You are an ant general. Fight through invaded groves, desert kingdoms and misty highlands, rescue captured ants, and win allies before the shards fall into the wrong hands.

• Real-time action combat: strike, dodge and chain abilities against flies, beetles, spiders, roaches and stranger things.

• Harness the star: absorb shards to attune your abilities to Fire, Water, Earth or Air, then deepen your path in the Bloom and Thorn mastery trees.

• Attune, Master, and Adorn: invest stat points, attune to an element, develop your mastery, and equip rings to shape your build.

• Lead your own company: free caged soldiers and wizards, and they fight at your side.

• Rebuild the colony: rescued workers run the Middens, dig, salvage and clear the ant tunnels that link the land.

• Princes and monsters: face shard-empowered bosses, each with their own powers and arenas.

• A world at insect scale: painted forests, desert tombs, underground cities and mountain monasteries, with day and night and changing weather.

• Rings and treasure: collect rings from fallen princes and lost treasures, or craft your own.

• Hardcore mode: one life, one save. Your journey ends where you fall.

The Small Kingdom is designed and directed by a solo developer who uses generative AI tools throughout. The artwork (characters, environments, effects, interface and store art) was created with AI image generation, then selected and refined for the game by the developer. Sound effects and ambience were made with ElevenLabs and the music with Suno. Story and dialogue were written with AI assistance under the developer’s direction, and AI tools helped with programming. Every piece was chosen and approved by the developer.

The Small Kingdom is a fantasy action RPG about warring insect kingdoms. Combat is real-time and frequent. Defeated enemies can be dismembered or beheaded, and blood is shown in each species’ own colour. The story includes war, imprisonment, undead creatures and dark, eerie places such as tombs and spider lairs. The hero sometimes smokes a pipe while idle. There is no sexual content, drug or alcohol abuse, or self-harm.
