About This Game

Welcome to Resortful, a relaxing island tycoon set on a tiny tropical atoll where the water is turquoise, the sand is warm and the sun always seems to be about to set. You arrive with a harbour, a beach and a little money. What you leave with is a place people fall in love with.

There’s no clock and no rival here. Just an island, the guests who sail in each morning, and all the time in the world to make them happy.

Start small: a sandy path from the pier, a bungalow or two, a snack bar for lunch. Then let the resort grow at your own pace - a beach bar under a thatched roof, deck chairs in a row along the water, a café with flower boxes in the windows, a hotel with a rooftop umbrella, a water park full of splashing, a disco that paints the night pink.

Every building is hand-made and a little bit lovable, from the camp grounds to the lily pond. Lay paths with a sweep of the mouse, tuck gardens between the huts, and watch the lanterns flicker on as the light goes golden.

Each morning a boat docks and tiny guests spill onto the pier: families with buckets and spades, couples in sun hats, grandparents with cameras, the party crowd with headphones on. Some want a quiet hammock; some want the arcade; everyone wants dinner.

Guests find their own way around your island, choosing where to eat, play and rest from whatever you’ve built within reach. Look after them and they’ll leave five stars, tell their friends, and before long the cruise ship is pulling in. Forget them and they’ll quietly sail home.

Dawn warms the sand, noon glitters on the water, dusk turns everything peach and gold, and night brings a sky full of stars over a resort full of lanterns. Seasons come and go with their own weather and their own crowds; rain drums on the roofs and sends everyone indoors to the café.

The sea is never still. Gulls wheel over the harbour, turtles glide across the reef, dolphins leap beside the ferry, and far out past the drop-off, if you’re patient, a whale comes up for air. Zoom out to take in the whole atoll, or in close to watch a family find their bungalow for the first time.

Set your own prices and see whether that brings guests in or drives them away. Pay the upkeep each evening, borrow a little before the summer rush, pay it back when the money rolls in. The books are simple, the stakes are soft, and the reward is a resort that pays for its own next bungalow.
