About This Demo

The start of the game, free

The demo is the opening of Type For Speed as it is in the full game: two tracks, the endless highway, and your first ten levels.

You type to drive

There is no gas pedal. Every correct key is throttle, a wrong key makes the engine stumble, and the highlighted nitro word gives you a boost. Draft behind the car in front of you and pass it before the line.

Two tracks

Vaporwave and Night City. Race bots that pace themselves off your own typing speed, or open a private lobby and race your friends online.

The endless highway

A word floats over the lane to your left and another over the lane to your right. Type one to move into that lane. The traffic keeps speeding up, slipping past a car gives you a boost, and one crash ends the run.

Cards, crates and the garage

Races fill a card meter and leveling up gives cards. Cards open crates, and five of the game's fifteen cars can come out of them in the demo. Paint them with the full palette.

10 languages

The race texts and the interface in English, Turkish, German, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Italian, Simplified Chinese (typed in pinyin), Japanese (typed in romaji) and Korean (typed in Hangul).
