About This Game

Share Before They Delete is a satirical strategy game about how a ridiculous idea takes over the world. Pick a conspiracy theory, plant it in one corner of the map, and grow it until 85% of humanity believes it at the same time. The fact-checkers have other plans.

Twelve theories, twelve ways to play

Pigeons are government drones. The Moon was filmed in a studio. The new 5G antenna is the reason for your headache. Each theory plays by its own rule, so the plan that won the last match won't save you in the next one.
  • The Pigeons Work for the Government: the pigeons move as a flock. Wherever it lands, the theory spreads faster and almost nobody checks.
  • The Moon Was Filmed in a Studio catches on at night, and the night keeps moving across the map.
  • The Anchor Who Vanished comes back in a breaking-news special every 90 days. The theory surges, and your actions cost half while it's on air.
  • We're Running on Another Machine can rewind the world 30 days, twice per match. Your upgrades stay.
  • The Cure They're Hiding From You can seal off a community where almost no debunk gets in. Almost nobody new gets in either.
  • ...and seven more, from the flat Earth to the people who secretly run the world.

Grow quietly, or go viral and pay for it

Spend influence on an upgrade tree with three branches and a fourth that belongs to your theory alone. Spread through routes and rumor mills, harden your believers against debunks, or hide until it's too late to stop you. The louder the theory gets, the sooner the fact-checkers wake up, and the world never forgets a debunk: anyone who sees one is immune for good.

The map talks back

  • Grab rumors as they pop up across the map, or let the game collect them for you at 75% value. Clicking is a bonus, never a chore.
  • Bury the debunks before they turn your believers immune.
  • Use actions on any region the theory has reached: boost it, smother the fact-checking there, reopen its routes, or change the subject.
  • Decide what happens when a local event goes your way, or badly wrong.

A world that doesn't sit still

A flu season, a war, an election, a championship final, a blackout, an eclipse. Real-world events hit the map without warning and change who believes what. Use them or get buried by them.

Every share has a cost

Some believers act on what they read. When one of them hurts someone, you decide how to respond: call it a hoax and radicalize your base, or condemn it and lose followers. The end-of-match screen keeps the count under "Real cost". There's an achievement for winning with nobody hurt.

What's inside

  • 12 conspiracy theories, each with its own rule, upgrades, events and endings
  • A 6-chapter campaign that teaches each rule
  • Easy, Normal and Brutal difficulty
  • Versus on one screen: one player spreads, the other fact-checks
  • Online co-op and versus over your local network
  • A replay of every match, so you can watch the map turn red in 12 seconds
  • 19 achievements
  • Matches of about 10 to 15 minutes
  • 10 languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese

All theories, places and characters are made up. Any resemblance to your family group chat is a coincidence.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools were used during development to help write and edit the game's text (headlines, events and theory descriptions) and to translate it into the supported languages. All text was reviewed and curated by the developer. The map, sound effects and music were not made with AI. Nothing is generated by AI while you play.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Share Before They Delete is a satirical strategy game about how misinformation spreads. You play as the force behind a made-up conspiracy theory. As the theory grows, some believers act on it, and text-only events report people injured or killed because of what they believed. You choose how to respond, and the end screen shows the real cost of your campaign. There is no graphic violence, no gore and no sexual content. All theories, places and characters are fictional.
