About This Game

While you answer an email, a sunflower on your taskbar turns its head to follow your cursor.

Bloomline is a cozy desktop companion: a strip of soil right above your Windows taskbar. Your garden starts as one small mound with a single flower, and it stays out of your way: everywhere outside the garden, your clicks go straight through to your windows.

Water and grow

Pour the watering can over the soil and the garden gathers energy. Spend it to grow your plants by hand: raise a stem taller, branch it, swell a bud until it opens. Changed your mind? Snip it with the scissors and the energy comes back.

Collect seeds

Blooms ripen glowing seeds. Click them to collect, then spend them in the store on 14 more species, or on a bag of fertiliser that doubles a plant's growth, seeds and soil for a whole day.

Meet every plant

Every species has a life of its own. Mimosas fold their leaves as your cursor passes, flytraps snap shut on the flies that come to visit, bamboo clacks, and bellflowers ring a note each.

Dandelions wait for you to blow their seeds away, lavender calls butterflies to perch, tulips close for the night and four o'clocks open after dark with a soft glow.

Spread the soil

Healthy plants gather soil. Sprinkle it from the sack wherever you like and the garden spreads left along your taskbar, with room for as many plants as the soil can hold. Pick any colour for each species on a colour wheel.

Grow at your own pace

An idle garden at heart, it runs on your PC's clock and keeps growing while the game is closed. Look in for a minute between tasks or tend it for half an hour. Forgotten plants only wilt, and come back once watered: nothing is ever lost.
