About This Game

Grab your sword and shield and hold the line! LAND OF MAZZATE is a fast, brutal 2D pixel-art hack and slash. Wave after wave of warriors, archers, mages and monsters pour into the arena, and your only job is to survive and smash them all.

HACK, BLOCK, DASH

Swing your weapon, raise your shield and dash out of danger. Time your block right as a hit lands for a PERFECT PARRY: arrows and magic orbs fly back at your enemies and whoever hit you is stunned. Watch your stamina, dodge the purple runes and the boss slam, and never stop moving.

ENDLESS WAVES, EVER-GROWING POWER

Every wave is bigger and nastier than the last. Between waves you pick one of three powers: more damage, more health, faster dashes, elemental blades and much more. Your weapon levels up too, all the way to level 30, unlocking ranks that change how it fights: flying slashes, double attacks, pillars of light and more.

25 HEROES, 24 WEAPONS

• Start as the Knight and unlock a whole roster: berserker, ranger, pyromancer, paladin, shadow, thief, bard, sorcerer, cleric, monk, necromancer, druid, lancer, samurai, alchemist, dragon hunter, engineer, frost barbarian, shaman, duelist, summoner... plus three secret heroes
  
• Every hero has a passive ability and a special skill
  
• Swords, hammers, flails, spears, bows, daggers, katanas, scythes, fire and lightning staffs, bombs, lutes, tomes and more

FIRE, ICE, LIGHTNING AND POISON

Elemental enemies burn, freeze, shock and poison you, and some explode when they die. Turn the tables with elemental upgrades and combine them for devastating effects. Block a hit and you block its element too.

BOSSES AND RIVALS

Fight a different boss in every biome, up to the King of Mazzate himself. And beware the Rivals: bosses that play like real players, with their own hero, weapon, war name and level. They parry, dash and use skills just like you.

STORY MODE

8 chapters of hand-made dungeons, from the Necropolis to Castle Nero and the Towers of the King. Every chapter you clear unlocks a new hero and a new weapon.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS

• Local co-op for up to 4 heroes on the same screen. Fallen friends can be revived by a teammate.
  
• Online co-op: create a room, share the 5-letter code and fight together.
  
• Smackdown Colosseum: online PvP for 2 to 4 players across five arenas. Last one standing wins the round, best of three wins the match.
