A new kind of horror game that builds a stage just for you from the results of a fear diagnosis. Scary, and a little funny. Heights, tight spaces, bugs, ghosts, even paperwork: your fears combine into over 2 million stages, so no two runs are alike. Too scary? Exclude any fear in the settings.

About This Game

A test site built from your fears, and only yours

The Institute for Applied Fear Technology studies human fear. You are its newest test subject, and your first task is the Fear Diagnosis.

Heights, tight spaces, darkness, ghosts, bugs, dolls, being in the spotlight, and everyday horrors like work and paperwork. Based on your answers, the Institute builds a test site made just for you, a giant set inside the facility assembled from the fears you can't stand.

Different every time you play

  • Over 2 million stages: how you answer decides which fears rise to the top, and how they are combined

  • Stages built from your diagnosis: an office floating in the sky, a corridor that keeps getting narrower, a party hall packed with balloons, a forest built on a soundstage, an elevator that won't stop... Where you go and what happens there depends on your results

  • Short runs of about 10 minutes: take the diagnosis again and again to test your own personal fears. The questions change a little each time

  • Collection: every place and trap you experience is recorded, and you can see how many are still waiting for you

  • Your fear type: save an image of "your fear type" from the results screen

  • Free demo: try the diagnosis and the stages with a selection of fears

Scary, and a little ridiculous

An attendant with a paper bag over their head guides you with excessive politeness through test sets that are unmistakably handmade. Built with a slightly rough, nostalgic low-poly look.

Leave out the fears you can't handle

This game depicts phobia-related situations such as heights, bugs, confined spaces and trypophobia. You can exclude any fear in the settings. Excluded fears never appear in your stage, even if they top your diagnosis.

From the developer

I used to avoid horror without ever giving it a chance, until a friend recommended a mockumentary novel. After that I fell for the genre completely, from horror games to horror films.

What scares people isn't only ghosts and the supernatural. Heights, tight spaces, things we can't even explain why we fear. I wanted to pack that huge variety of fears, and the many ways horror can express them, into a single experience, so I made this game.

Please answer the diagnosis honestly, and enjoy fears made just for you.
