What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to release the current playable version so players can experience the multiplayer (versus and co-op) and endless wave modes and give feedback while we continue development. More maps are in progress and the balance still needs fine-tuning based on real play. Early Access lets us involve the community, gather that feedback, and keep improving the game instead of waiting until every planned addition is finished. We are committed to ongoing development and seeing the project through to a full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 3–6 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more maps and continue fine-tuning balance based on community feedback and play data. The Early Access version is already a complete, playable game with endless waves (single-player and co-op) and free-for-all multiplayer. The full version is intended to include additional maps and further polish. We plan to keep updating throughout Early Access as we progress.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable right now. It includes endless waves in single-player and co-op, plus free-for-all multiplayer. Core combat and the existing modes are functional. Additional maps and further balance work are still in progress.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I am not planning on increasing the price after leaving early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will take player feedback and statistics into account when balancing the game and fine-tuning new maps. Players can share feedback and discuss the game on the Steam Discussions; I will monitor and respond there as development continues.”

About This Game

WHAT IS TURD: COMBAT DEVOLVED?

Step into the ultimate brown-out in Turd: Combat Devolved —a chaotic third-person ("turd-person") arena shooter where dietary choices dictate combat chemistry! Whether tackling endless waves solo, teaming up in co-op, or flinging chaos in Free-For-All multiplayer, victory requires balancing your loadout diet, timing charged weapons, and managing health-as-ammo.

LIVE TWITCH & KICK INTEGRATION

Streamers, prepare your chat for absolute anarchy:

  • Live Viewer Mob Names: The game scans active chatters on Twitch and Kick, naming incoming enemy mobs after your live viewers.

  • Between-Round Viewer Voting: Viewers vote between rounds on game-changing mutators, from player debuffs to triggering "The Floor is Lava!"

PRIMARY DIET TRIANGLE

Your state exists anywhere within a continuous Rock-Paper-Scissors chemistry triangle based on what you eat:

  • Constipation (Protein): Beats Mud Butt.

  • Mud Butt (Fatty Foods): Beats Diarrhea.

  • Diarrhea (Coffee & Liquids): Beats Constipation.

  • Fiber Foods: Need a reset? Fiber pulls your physical state back toward the center of the triangle.

  • Dynamic Shading: Your character's exact shade shifts depending on your position in the chemistry triangle.

SECONDARY ADDITIVES & COLOR MODIFIERS

Stack secondary food types for devastating status effects and temporary RPS advantages:

  • Spice (AoE Burn): Ignites targets with area-of-effect heat damage. Beats Bio.

  • Bio / Rot (Poison DoT): Inflicts lingering poison damage over time. Beats Particles.

  • Particles (Corn & Peanuts): High-velocity shrapnel that penetrates through enemy ranks. Beats Spice.

  • Temporary Dye Modifiers: Eat beets to turn reddish, purple drink for neon green, or pumpkin for orange—granting limited-time elemental matchup bonuses!

CHARGE WEAPONS

Turn the tide with heavy secondary tactical gear:

  • Grenade Launcher: Delivers timed high-yield explosions (if enemies don't dodge in time).

  • Remote Mine: Place strategic traps to control choke points (watch out—enemies can disarm them with a well-placed shot!).

  • Seekers: Deploys a mini-you that runs 15 meters straight toward enemies before detonating.

THE FECAL MASS DYNAMIC

Your Health IS your Ammo. Every shot drains your literal Fecal Mass. Holding down the trigger overwhelms your natural regeneration, shrinking your health pool and leaving you vulnerable. Knowing when to hold fire and recover mass is the key to survival.

KEY FEATURES

  • Endless Wave Survival & Co-Op: Battle hordes solo or team up with up to 4 players.

  • Free-For-All PvP: Fast-paced, high-stakes arena combat.

  • Interactive Stream Integration: Twitch and Kick scanning names mobs after viewers and lets chat vote on round mutators.

  • Interactive Map Hazards: Turn the environment and giant map hazards against incoming waves or rival players.

  • Deep Dietary Strategy: Combine dietary states, color dyes, and charge weapons to counter enemy resistances on the fly.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

3D models and graphics are Human designed -> AI generated -> Human edited. If AI bothers you for "art" but not engineering, then do not buy this game.
