About This Game

There is a little light in a world that has forgotten how to live.

You are a small glowing being who wakes up with no memory of how you got here. The world around you is quiet and grey. Trees stand bare, the water has fallen still and the creatures that once lived here are gone.

But wherever you go, life returns. The ground wakes beneath your steps, grass and flowers spread around you and colour finds its way back into the world.

You are not just exploring this world. You are waking it.

Every place has something waiting to come back to life. And every place asks for something different:

• Wake the ancestor tree deep in the swamp

• Earn the trust of a shy stag

• Guide a scattered fox family back home

• Bring light into a cave of ice deep beneath a glacier

• Grow a living bridge of roots across the river

Beyond the forest, an enchanted wood, a desert and snowy peaks under the northern lights are waiting to wake.

A grove to call home

As you help the creatures you meet, some of them find a new home in your grove. It starts out quiet and almost empty, but little by little it changes. New plants grow, familiar faces return and the grove begins to feel like somewhere you belong.

Collect, decorate and make yourself at home

Keep an eye out for hidden treasures as you explore. Place what you find around your grove and watch the animals gather at their favourite spots. Now and then they share a small wish with you: a lantern for the rabbit, a feeder for the birds, a hollow log for the fox cubs. Somewhere out in the world a chest is waiting for each of them.

Make your animal friends your own

Give the animals in your grove a look that feels just right to you. Change their appearance and add your own personal touch to the little world you are bringing back to life.

Uncover the world's lost memories

Ancient runestones lie hidden across the world. Each one you find brings back a memory and adds a page to your book. Little by little you learn what happened to this forgotten place.

Keep your favourite moments

Pause along the way and take in the world you have brought back to life. Photo mode lets you capture the colours, the animals and the little details that make your journey special.

Take your time

Glowing Life is a peaceful adventure without enemies, timers or fail states. There is no rush and nothing to get wrong. Wander through the world, return to places you have already woken or simply stop for a moment and enjoy the quiet.
