About This Game

Below the Ether is a psychological survival horror game where you repair, travel, and try to recover memories you were never meant to have. The sun no longer gives life; it takes it away. Humanity has fled underground, deep into rebuilt metro stations, and has stayed there. You wake up in this world with no memory of who you are or what happened.

REPAIR TO SURVIVE

Some of the stations you explore have stopped working the way they should. Sometimes the only thing standing between you and the darkness is broken equipment and finding a way to get it running again.

ROLL OUT ACROSS THE STATION NETWORK

The train is the only thing connecting the scattered remnants of humanity. Drive it between stations, uncover new pieces of the underground world, and find out what really happened to you and to the others who were here before.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE HERE

Underground silence is never absolute. Something looms at the edge of your vision, shifting position the moment you turn your head, and there are moments when it drops all attempts at concealment and rushes straight at you. Below the Ether builds unease not only through uncertainty about your surroundings, but also through threats you have to run from.

RELIVE MEMORIES THAT AREN’T YOURS

As you progress, images begin to return to you: fragments of your someone else’s life, someone else’s decisions, someone else’s fear. Piece them together to uncover what happened in these abandoned corridors. But the more you remember, the less certain you are that you want to know more.
