About This Game

It's just an installer. How hard can it be?

PLEASE WAIT is a short comedy game that takes place entirely inside one installation window. Your only goal is obvious: get the progress bar to 100%. The installer has other plans.

A few percent in, things start to go wrong. The RETRY button runs away. The loading bar escapes the window and has to be dragged back. A percent falls out and needs to be put back in by hand. The installer asks you not to move your mouse — and then asks you to move it to generate bandwidth.

Every step changes the rules

• Update the updater. Then update it again.
  
• Free up disk space. Try not to delete cat.png.
  
• Take the premium download offer. The +20% for $0.00 one, if you can catch it.
  
• Read the terms of installation while they are being amended.
  
• Prove that you are still at the keyboard.
  
• Choose a download mirror. Mirror 3 is the one.
  
• Reach 100%. Then wait for the Day One Update.
  
• Survive 99%. The last percent is the hardest one.
