Why Early Access?

“Here at Piece of Cake studios, we stronly believe that developing a game alongside the community can only make it better. We want to involve you, the players, in the developement process of Dark Hours: Anomalies and ensure that your feedbacks are heard. We want to improve the game during its late stages of developpement in regard of the community feedbacks, comments and suggestions. That's how we design and develop games we are self-publishing: always centered around your feedbacks. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our focus is to provide the best experience possible. Our current plan is to get to a full release within 6 to 12 months, depending on the community feedbacks and how the game will progress through early access. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version of Dark Hours: Anomalies, we plan to add new maps, anomalies, missions types, gameplay items and additionnal content suggested by the community. We also plan to optimize performance to improve the overall experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version contains one map : "The Train Station", the core gameplay loop with dozens of anomalies to find, multiple gameplay items and co-op gameplay mechanics. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features. It’s also likely to change when the game leaves Early Access, but we’ll always inform you, our community, before making any pricing updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want the community to be involved in every step of development. We invite anyone who wants to participate to join our Steam forums or our Discord server where the community can give us feedbacks or suggestions and reach out the developers easily. We will also be using the Steam community features and social media (Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok...) to regularly informed about our progress. ”
