Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to get FRAGGED! into the hands of players as early as possible, so we can build the game together with the community.

Early Access gives us the opportunity to hear directly from players about what they enjoy, what could be improved, and what they'd like to see next. Rather than developing every planned game mode behind closed doors, we want the community to help shape the game's future.

We'll use your feedback and the way you play to help determine which game modes we develop and release first, while refining and balancing them based on real player experiences. This allows us to focus our development efforts on what matters most to the people playing FRAGGED!

Our goal is to make FRAGGED! the best old skool FPS it can be, and your feedback is an important part of getting there. By joining us in Early Access, you're not just playing the game early . You are helping shape what it will become.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect FRAGGED! to remain in Early Access for a few months to a maximum of one year. During this time, we plan to introduce additional game modes, improve the game's visuals, and refine the gameplay based on community feedback. The actual duration will depend on how development progresses and what we learn from our players. We want to make sure FRAGGED! is ready for its full release rather than rush it just to meet a deadline.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of FRAGGED! currently features a fully playable old-school multiplayer FPS with Deathmatch, bot players, achievements, player customisation, spraypaints, and more. However, Deathmatch is currently the only available game mode.

We plan to expand the game with several additional modes, each offering a different way to play:
- Team Deathmatch: Team-based combat where players work together to take down the opposing team.
- Last Man Standing: Fight to be the last player remaining.
- Horde Survival: Survive increasingly challenging waves of enemies.
- Instagib: Fast-paced combat where a single hit can eliminate an opponent.
- Hardpoint: Compete for control of designated areas to score points for your team.
- Juggernaut: One player receives boosted stats, and whoever takes them down becomes the next Juggernaut.
- Bounty: A twist on Deathmatch where one player is highlighted and awards bonus points when eliminated. Taking down the current Bounty makes you the next target.

These are the game modes we currently plan to introduce during development. We want to use community feedback to help prioritise their development and determine which modes to focus on first. Player feedback will also help us refine the mechanics, balance, and overall experience of each mode.

Beyond new game modes, we plan to improve the game's visual presentation, including textures, meshes, and models, while continuing to refine the core gameplay based on player feedback.

Our goal is to turn FRAGGED! into a more complete old-school FPS with a variety of multiplayer experiences. The final scope and order of these additions may evolve during Early Access as we listen to players and learn from their experiences.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“FRAGGED! is already a fully playable old-school multiplayer FPS featuring Deathmatch, bot players, achievements, player customisation, spraypaints, and more.

The current version offers the core gameplay experience, but Deathmatch is currently the only available game mode. We plan to expand the game with several additional modes during Early Access, including Team Deathmatch, Last Man Standing, Horde Survival, Instagib, Hardpoint, Juggernaut, and Bounty. These modes are planned additions and are not yet available in the current version.

We also plan to improve the game's visual presentation, including textures, meshes, and models. Throughout Early Access, we'll continue developing new content and refining the gameplay, using community feedback to help guide our priorities and decisions.

FRAGGED! is still evolving, and the variety of game modes and visual improvements planned for the full version is not yet complete. If you enjoy old-school FPS gameplay and want to help shape the game's future, we'd love to have you join us during Early Access!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. FRAGGED! will be offered at a lower price during Early Access as a thank-you to our early adopters and the players who help us build our community. We currently plan to increase the price when the game leaves Early Access, reflecting the additional game modes, improvements, and content developed along the way.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want the FRAGGED! community to have a meaningful influence on how the game develops. Early Access isn't just an opportunity for players to try the game early; it's an opportunity for us to build a better game together.

We'll encourage players to share their feedback, suggestions, and experiences through the Steam Community discussions and our other community channels. We especially want to hear which game modes players are most excited about, what they enjoy about the current gameplay, and what they think needs improvement.

We currently plan to introduce several new game modes, including Team Deathmatch, Last Man Standing, Horde Survival, Instagib, Hardpoint, Juggernaut, and Bounty. Rather than deciding the development order entirely ourselves, we want community interest and feedback to help us prioritise which modes to develop first.

As new modes become available, we'll use player feedback and gameplay experiences to refine their mechanics, balance, and overall fun factor. We also want to hear suggestions for improvements to existing features and the game's visual presentation.

We can't promise to implement every suggestion, but we can promise to listen and take community feedback into account when making development decisions. Our plans may evolve as we learn what works best for the people playing FRAGGED!

We're gamers making a game for gamers. We want the community to help shape not just how FRAGGED! plays today, but what it becomes in the future.”

About This Game

Lock and load. Somebody's getting FRAGGED!

FRAGGED! is a fast, oldskool multiplayer shooter straight out of an 80s and 90s action movie. No classes, no perks, no loot boxes: just you, your guns and the window you're about to dive through.

Throw yourself sideways through the glass with both pistols firing. Roll behind a car as the shotgun blast misses. Hit the ground in the middle of the street and keep shooting. Every match plays out like the finale of an action movie, and you're the one doing the stunts.

Move like an action hero

  • Dive in any direction: forward, sideways or backwards, and keep shooting the whole way.

  • Smash through windows. Glass breaks when you dive, run or shoot through it.

  • Land and fight. Stay down on the ground and keep firing, crawl under train cars, or roll straight back onto your feet.

  • Roll out of the line of fire. Chain up to three rolls back to back.

The guns you know from the movies

  • Throwing knives to slash or throw, and you can pick them back up.

  • Pistol and akimbo pistols, firing in turns.

  • Pump shotgun, loaded shell by shell.

  • Handcannon: a short double barrel that fires both barrels at once.

  • MP5 and M16 for full auto.

  • Sniper rifle with two zoom levels and one-shot headshots.

  • Grenades that bounce through windows and set off exploding barrels.

Hits land where you aim: head, body or legs.

Three maps built for stunts

  • Warehouse District: a container yard, a gantry crane, catwalks, skylights and rooftops joined by bridges.

  • Downtown: a main street with cars and a bus, a glass skybridge, apartments, a bar, a hotel and a parking garage.

  • Rail Depot: boxcars to run through or crawl under, a station hall, a platform and a train with windows to dive into.

Every map has three lanes, interiors full of windows, and rooftops you can reach and cross.

Play your way

  • Online deathmatch for up to 16 players through Steam: public or friends-only games, with an optional password.

  • Bots in five difficulty levels, filling empty slots or playing on their own.

  • The host sets the rules: map order, frag and time limits, and the starting weapons (pistol only, players choose, or everyone gets the same gun).

  • 50+ characters to play as.

  • Spray your logo on the walls.

  • 47 Steam achievements, from "Welcome to the Party, Pal" to "Yippee-Ki-Yay".

  • Fully rebindable controls, an adjustable field of view, and graphics settings to suit your PC.

Grab a gun, find a window, and dive through.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Players shoot each other and bots with firearms, throwing knifes and grenades in a fast multiplayer arena. Hits show small blood effects and the characters fall over when killed. There is no dismemberment or lasting gore. Players can talk to each other in an unmoderated text chat.
