About This Game

The Tatra Mountains, 1930s. An old baca is ready to pass his trade on to you. From now on, the flock is your responsibility.

Lead the sheep out to the mountain pastures, find the best grazing grounds, and make sure every last one returns before nightfall. Keep them fed and watered, treat the sick, search for those that wander off, and protect the flock from wolves, steep cliffs, and mountain weather that can turn without warning.

Life in the mountains is about more than herding. Milk the sheep, make traditional smoked cheese and whey drinks, gather herbs, keep the fire burning in the shepherd's hut, and take on jobs from the people living down in the valley.

You begin as a young shepherd with no sheep of your own, working for a daily wage. Survive the season, save your hard-earned money, and buy your first animals. With every season, more of the flock can become yours and so can a greater share of the profits.

KEY FEATURES

🐑 Herd a living flock — find fresh pastures, keep the sheep together, and take care of their individual needs.

🐕 Take control of your sheepdog — move quickly around the flock, round up strays, and bring chaos back under control.

🧀 Milk sheep and make traditional cheese — turn fresh milk into valuable products using the complete production process.

🌩️ Face the Tatra Mountains — storms, fog, cold, wolves, streams, and dangerous cliffs are all part of the job.

🌿 Gather, heal, and take on jobs — collect herbs and firewood, treat your animals, and earn extra money and reputation.

💰 Work your way up — start as a hired shepherd, buy your first sheep, and gradually build a flock of your own.

🐑 LEAD THE FLOCK

Your sheep aren't mindless followers. They have their own needs and react to the world around them. They may stop, wander away, enter streams, get stuck among rocks, become separated from the flock, or stray dangerously close to a cliff.

Find the best grazing grounds, lead the flock to water, and keep track of every animal. Once a pasture has been eaten down, it stays that way. As the season progresses, you'll need to search for fresh grass and take the flock higher into the mountains.

🐕 BECOME THE SHEEPDOG

Sometimes two legs just aren't fast enough.

Take direct control of your sheepdog to move quickly around the flock. Cut off wandering sheep, steer them back in the right direction, and react fast when a peaceful day of grazing suddenly turns into chaos.

🌩️ SURVIVE THE MOUNTAINS

The Tatras don't forgive mistakes.

Keep an eye on the sky. Thick fog can make it difficult to keep track of the flock, storms may force you to abandon the pasture, and sudden drops in temperature can put both you and your animals in danger.

And weather isn't your only concern. Wolves, streams, steep terrain, and cliffs can turn an ordinary day on the mountain into a fight to bring everyone home.

As the season progresses, you'll move through three increasingly demanding mountain zones from the lower forests to high-altitude pastures where grass becomes scarce and the weather increasingly unpredictable.

🧀 FROM SHEEP TO CHEESE

Bringing the flock home doesn't mean the work is over.

Milk the sheep and turn their milk into traditional mountain cheese. Follow the production process yourself and earn additional money for the milk and products you prepare.

Don't feel like milking every sheep by hand? Skip the minigame and let the process complete automatically based on your previous performance.

🌿 THERE'S MORE TO THE MOUNTAINS THAN SHEEP

When the flock is grazing peacefully, make use of your time. Gather herbs to prepare remedies for sick animals, forage for food, collect firewood, and make sure the fire in the shepherd's hut never goes out.

People from the valley also leave jobs with the old shepherd. Completing them can earn you extra money and improve your reputation, but walking away from your flock always comes with a risk.

Leave the sheep unattended? Trust your dog to watch them? Or hire someone to help and pay them out of your own wages?

Every extra coin may come at a cost.

💰 START WITH NOTHING. BUILD YOUR OWN FLOCK.

At the beginning, you don't own a single sheep.

You're a young hired shepherd looking after animals belonging to the old baca and local farmers. Do your job well, survive the grazing season, make it to the autumn shearing, and save every coin you can.

Then comes your first big opportunity.

Use your earnings to buy your first sheep and add them to the flock. From the next season onward, you're no longer working solely for someone else. Your own animals give you a share of the income generated by milk, cheese, wool, and grazing.

Work. Save. Invest. Grow.

You start as a hired shepherd. How far you go is up to you.
