Castle Back is a single-player voxel auto-battler roguelite. Every fortress rides on the back of a giant wandering beast. You buy blocks, stack them on your beast's back, and send it into battle. Once the fight starts, your fortress fights on its own.

Every block can bring the house down

Nothing floats. Hit the supports and everything above them falls: blocks drop, crush what is below, and shake the enemy Heart. A single well-placed quarry mortar can topple a whole tower. Fire spreads through wood and hay, ammo crates go off in chain reactions, and lightning leaps from block to block.

Plan the stack

• 60 blocks: walls, cannons, catapults, mortars, harpoons, bells, water tanks, war drums and more
  
• Stack three of a kind to merge into stronger ★2 and ★3 blocks
  
• 10 hidden recipes fuse two blocks into something new
  
• 38 relics that each bend one rule for the rest of the expedition
  
• Hover any block to see exactly what would fall if it broke

Three beasts, three ways to build

• Domba the Turtle – a sturdy base that digs in and holds the line
  
• Captain Pincer the Crab – wide and low, with an armoured front
  
• Tuft the Mammoth – narrow and tall, built to bombard from above

Feed your beast along the way and it grows: a new floor, or a wider back.

A journey with your crew

Cross three acts of a collapsing world and face giant bosses: the Mason Turtle Queen who rebuilds her walls, the Cloud-Eating Sky Whale that floats out of reach, and the Rotten Cradle whose roots heal its Heart. Between expeditions, your companions Anvil, Barley and Whistle share their stories by the campfire, one chapter at a time.
