Stack a fortress on the back of a giant beast, then watch it fight. Every block has weight: break a support and everything it held comes crashing down. A cute voxel auto-battler roguelite with three beasts, giant bosses and a campfire story.

À propos de ce jeu

Castle Back is a single-player voxel auto-battler roguelite. Every fortress rides on the back of a giant wandering beast. Buy blocks, stack them on your beast's back and send it into battle. Once the battle starts, your fortress fights on its own: you win or lose by how you built it.

Nothing floats, and nothing is free to stack. Each block carries the load above it, and a block that carries too much gives way before it breaks. Hit the supports and everything they held falls: blocks crash down, crush what is below, and every falling block damages that fortress's Heart.
  • The Quarry Mortar aims for the foot of the tallest tower. Dig out the base and the whole tower comes down
  • Explosions and collapses set each other off, fire spreads through wood and cloth, lightning arcs into neighboring blocks
  • Chain your fortress to the beast, or keep heavy blocks low: your own towers can fall too

  • 58 blocks: walls, cannons, catapults, mortars, harpoons, bells, water tanks, war drums and more
  • Stack two identical blocks to merge them: two ★1 make a ★2, two ★2 make a ★3
  • 10 hidden recipes: put the right two blocks side by side and they fuse into something new
  • In the build phase, hover any block to see what would fall with it, and how much it would hurt the Heart
  • Material sets, reloaders and floor buffs reward blocks that work together

  • 38 relics that bend one rule each, including boss relics with a real cost
  • Branching roads: elite fortresses with weather, villages to rest or forge, events told by your crew
  • A bounty on every fight, a hard road for more gold, interest for the gold you keep

  • Domba the Turtle: a sturdy bottom row that digs in and holds the line
  • Captain Pincer the Crab: wide and low, with an armored front column
  • Tuft the Mammoth: narrow and tall, built to bombard from above (joins through the story)
From your first camp on, feed your beast between fights and it grows: a new floor, or a wider back.

The Mason Turtle Queen rebuilds what you break. The Cloud-Eating Sky Whale floats above your low guns. The Rotten Citadel of the Cradle stands on roots that heal its Heart. Each one asks for a different fortress.

Cross a world that already fell, three acts to the end of the road. Between expeditions, Anvil, Barley and Whistle share their stories by the campfire, one chapter at a time, 18 in all. Each chapter opens something new: blocks, the mammoth, new roads. Keep playing and the Daily Challenge and fortress-code duels open up; after the ending, Collapse levels 1–5 make the road harder.
