About This Game

Some lies don't need to be spoken.
A gun left on the table, a shield that goes unused, a bid that looks like a retreat. You can see what your opponent has—but never what they're about to do.

Liar Game: Game of Contradiction is a first-person turn-based strategy game built on secret bidding, resource management, and psychological warfare. Inspired by the life-or-death gambles and battles of wits in the manga Liar Game: understand the rules, read your opponent, make decisions on limited information—and live with the consequences.

Your goal is simple: reduce your opponent's life to zero while keeping yourself alive.

Winning the auction is only the first step
Each auction puts three items on the table at once. You and your opponent secretly allocate coins, ring the bell to lock in your bids, and the higher bidder takes the item.
But win or lose, the coins you commit are gone for good.
Blowing your budget on a shotgun may leave you unable to afford protection later. Saving your coins may mean handing the most dangerous weapon on the table to your opponent. You have to weigh what an item is worth to you—and judge what your opponent is willing to pay for it.

He's guessing you, and you know it
The curtain closes, and both sides secretly choose one item. Attack, defend, heal, or wait empty-handed—you get only one action per round.
The shotgun in your hand might force your opponent to raise a shield, which is exactly the opening you need to recover health. But what if he expected that too, and attacks anyway?
Both sides ring the bell, the curtains open, and the choices are revealed. Support effects resolve first, then attack and defense are settled, with both sides' attack damage applied simultaneously. One correct read can turn the match around. One misread can end you both.

Ten items, ten different answers to the same rules
Attack with the revolver, punch through a wooden shield with the shotgun, or bypass defenses with the stun gun. Restore health with a drink, empower your next attack with a cigarette, or add to your bidding power with a coin pouch.
The seal disables one of your opponent's stocked items and interrupts whatever he had planned. The preview console lets you privately see the items up for auction in the next two rounds, so you can plan your budget earlier than your opponent.
Each side has only eight storage slots, and using an item also costs an action. How you pair weapons with support items—and when you commit your key pieces—is entirely up to you.

Three stages, an escalating game of wits
Single-player mode features three sequential stages. The item pool expands from five to eight, then opens up all ten. Stage one gives you one action round after each auction; stages two and three increase this to two rounds, letting your choices now shape what happens later.
Defeat the computer opponent to advance. If you lose, you can retry the current stage. Single-player matches support autosave and continue.

Sit a friend down on the other side of the table
Steam two-player mode supports one-on-one online matches through friend invites, public rooms, or quick match.
All ten items enter the auction. With limited time to bid and act, fight over resources, hide your choices, and judge how another person will respond to your threats.

Ring the bell, turn judgment into outcome
A dim room, a flickering old screen, coins steadily draining at the table's edge. In first-person view, insert coins, pick up items, and ring the table bell with your own hand.
The curtain hasn't opened yet. Your opponent's choice is already locked in.
