What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The minigames are done but I am looking for a high level of realism. I want to allow people who know this area to review and provide feedback before releasing and tweak the variables and environment until it feels 'right', for that I need more eyes.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Two weeks to two months, depending on how long it takes to get the quality right”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have a high level of realism, sounds recorded on site, and better visuals.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“It is functionally complete with all working games and working multiplayer, but the sounds are placeholders as well as some of the graphics. Some of the physics also needs work.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Depending on the response the price may be adjusted but I am pretty sure it's in a good place where it is.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I want feedback from sportspeople who know this area and how they think this game performs.”

About This Game

A Day at the Range, Any Day you Like

Blamcon's Range Day puts six classic target games on an outdoor range cut into the woods. Pick up your Blamcon light gun (or a mouse), choose your caliber, step up to the line and wait for the beep.

Made for PC Light Guns

Built for Blamcon light guns: point and shoot, with recoil on every round and your ammo count on the gun. Works with other light gun brands without synced feedback, and if you want to give it a go a mouse works too.

Six Games

  • Target Range punch a tight group into paper at 5, 10, 25, 30 or 50 yards. Decimal scoring and a target cam show every hit, and fluorescent halos bloom where your rounds break the black.

  • Speed Range clear a rack of 6 or 12 steel plates against the clock, three rounds a match, at 10, 15 or 20 yards.

  • Steel Range ring four hanging steel silhouettes from 10 to 25 yards. Each one counts down your hits on its own LED counter.

  • Reaction Range fifteen wooden pop-ups hide behind three berms at 10, 20 and 30 yards. Hit each one before it drops. Set the pace and the time.

  • Dueling Tree send every paddle across to the other side before time runs out, on one tree or two.

  • Texas Star Knock all five plates off a spinning star. Every plate you drop throws it further off balance. [/list]

Features

Six target games, each with its own settings: distance, size, number of targets, game time, pace and magazine size

  • Steel that swings, spins and falls with real physics

  • lead splashes and bullet holes stay where they land

  • Real recorded gunshots in four calibers, open or suppressed

Multiplayer

NOTE: Multiplayer ONLY works with a second light gun in gamepad mode. This will configure automatically with Blamcon Light guns but must be manually configured for other light gun brands. If you are playing with a mouse this is one player, windows only supports one mouse.
