A beetle climbs a colossal oak in a precision platformer where landing is the skill. The jump is only half of it: your body has a hinge, and your weight can carry you past the edge after you land. Center of gravity always wins.

À propos de ce jeu

Center of gravity always wins.

A small beetle has lived its whole life among the roots of a great oak. Somewhere above the canopy is the rest of the world. The only way to see it is up.

Landing is the skill

Hold to charge, release to leap. Once you jump, the arc is yours — no air control. But unlike other climbing games, touching down is not the end of the jump. Your body has a hinge and a center of mass. Land with momentum and you keep rolling. Let your weight hang past the edge and you tip over. You always see it coming: the beetle wobbles on the brink before it falls.

One rule, many surfaces

Rough bark holds you. Waxy leaves let you slide. Sticky resin kills your bounce. Morning dew barely holds at all. Wind sways the high branches in steady, readable rhythms. Every new challenge follows the same rule you learned on the first branch.

Falls are designed, not random

There are no checkpoints and no lives. When you fall, you fall — but every drop in the tree is placed by hand. Each part of the climb has a floor that catches you. The rare places where you can lose everything are the ones where you can see the whole way down.

A warm climb

This is not a game that laughs at you. The oak is alive: ants carry on along the bark, spiders keep watch under the branches, fireflies drift through the shade. Your parents wait among the roots — fall all the way back down, and they will be there. The view opens wider with every tier, from the roots to the open sky.

  • Deterministic physics: the same jump always lands the same way
  • 60 hand-built screens climbing from the roots through the bark, branches, and canopy to the sky
  • Surfaces that change your grip: bark, leaves, resin, dew — plus wind in the canopy and thin branches that sway as you charge
  • No checkpoints, no lives, no randomness
  • Keyboard and controller, fully remappable
  • English, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, Simplified Chinese

Notification de contenu généré par IA

L'équipe de développement décrit l'utilisation de contenu généré par IA dans le jeu comme suit.

The key art used for the store capsules and the title screen background was generated with image models run locally and then hand-edited. The Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German and Simplified Chinese translations and drafts of the store page text were produced with the help of an AI assistant. Everything you see during gameplay (the beetle, the tree, its surfaces and all animation) is drawn procedurally in code. Sound effects are CC0 recordings; no AI-generated voice or music is used, and no generative AI runs while you play.
