About This Game

Mosslight begins on a dead world. Toxic ground stains the land, poisoned air drifts across the map on the wind, and all you have is a landing core and a handful of builder robots. Your job is to bring the planet back.

Cleanse the land

Build purifiers and biofilters to push the pollution back, and watch grass, meadows and forests return in its place. But industry pollutes too: every factory you build adds to the air you are trying to clear, so a growing colony has to keep its cleaners supplied and powered.

Keep your colony alive

Robots need power; colonies need food and water. Lay cables from generators, pump water through underground pipes, grow and process food, and balance supply against demand as your settlements expand.

Build a working economy

  • Progress through nine tiers of technology, from wood and stone to steel, circuits, CPUs, quantum cores and star alloy.

  • Couriers carry goods between mines, workshops and storage automatically, or follow routes you set yourself.

  • Build roads to speed them up, rail lines between stations, and ferries and shipyards to reach other islands.

  • Set storage rules, trade targets and pickup locks to decide exactly where every resource goes.

  • Upgrade buildings all the way to level 100.

Reshape the planet

Raise hills, level land, dig channels to the sea and build platforms across the water. Weather rolls across the map, animals return to restored habitats, and the world changes as you heal it.

Meet the cultures of the world

Seven factions have settled this planet. Open trade ports and caravan routes with their cities to obtain the unique materials only they can make.

Reach for the stars

Once your world is restored, build a space link and assemble an orbital station module by module. Launch outposts to the eight planets of the solar system, refine what they send back, and charge the solar purifier to restore every world one by one.

Play at your pace

  • Run the simulation at 1x, 2x, 4x or 8x spee

  • Named saves, plus automatic backups every 15 minutes.

  • Sandbox mode for free building.
