What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is being developed by a single person, which calls for extra attention and feedback from the public.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The estimated duration of Early Access is one to two years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release, we want to give players much more freedom in how they explore the world, develop their heroes, and overcome challenges.

Our main focus is on skills and their combinations. Experimenting with abilities is at the heart of JANO ADVENTURE, so we plan to expand both the selection of skills and the ways they interact. Our goal is to offer hundreds of skills and combinations, encouraging players to discover unexpected synergies and build characters around their own playstyles.

We also plan to:

- **Expand and refine the world.** Complete the regions currently in early development, giving each its own distinctive enemies, events, and gameplay features.
- **Introduce new ways to travel**, including sailing and flight. We want exploration to unlock not just new places, but new ways to interact with the world.
- **Add a wider variety of story events.** More unusual encounters, risky bargains, and choices whose consequences shape the rest of your journey.
- **Expand the equipment selection.** Introduce new armor sets and unique weapons with special effects that complement your skills and create more opportunities to experiment.

Alongside these additions, we aim to improve balance, progression, and the overall ease of playing. Our goal is not simply to add more content, but to make new abilities, items, and events give you a reason to try something different on every run.

These are our current development goals. The scope and priorities of future additions may change based on testing and player feedback during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core adventure is already playable: head out from camp, explore the world, build your skill combinations, face increasingly dangerous enemies, and bring back resources to prepare for your next journey.

The current Early Access version includes:

Two main regions: Forest and Desert. Each has its own enemies, regional effects, minibosses, and a final boss.

Around 40 skills, including basic abilities and combined skills. Upgrade your abilities and discover combinations that change how you approach combat.

Unlockable heroes with different starting abilities and strengths. The current roster contains five characters, including the starting hero, although some unlocks are tied to unfinished regions.

Resource gathering and crafting. Gather materials, discover recipes, and craft weapons and armor that add skills to your build.

Camp progression. Restore facilities, learn skills in the library, and manage your equipment between expeditions.

Quest events with meaningful trade-offs. Choices can grant powerful advantages, introduce lasting drawbacks, or change what happens during your journey.

Daily online leaderboards, with rewards for the top three players.

Achievements and expedition history to track your progress.

Three additional regions, Swamp, Mountain, and Volcano, have early implementations, but access is currently restricted. Their content and balance are unfinished, and they should not yet be considered complete parts of the adventure.

Early Access is helping us refine the game around real play sessions. Balance, progression, interface clarity, and performance are still being improved, and you may encounter bugs or rough edges. The Forest and Desert currently offer the most representative experience of JANO ADVENTURE.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase slightly after leaving Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“In-game events with optional player choices, community polls, and art contests.”
