About This Game

Build works. They train your army and send it to the front.

Marschwerk is a tug-of-war strategy game. You never command single units: you decide what your army is made of, and it marches on its own. Up to six players fight three against three; bots take the empty seats.

Each works trains its own units

  • Build a works. It trains one kind of unit on its own and sends it down the lane.

  • Upgrade it into a works for stronger units: Farmer Works becomes Knight Works.

  • Earn gold. Workers carry ore home. Gold pays for new works and upgrades.

Three lanes. Where the armies meet, the front moves.

Your units walk the lanes and fight whatever they meet. The side that brings the better army pushes the front towards the enemy keep. You choose which units, when to upgrade and where to spend your gold.

Capture crossings to unlock new units

Crossings on the map unlock five schools:

  • Magic: the mages — fire, frost, lightning, healing and shields.

  • Mechanic: catapults, gun towers and the goblin walkers.

  • Stealth: assassins and sniper towers.

  • Monster: the goblins and the dead.

  • Nature: the dryads and the nature mage.

Cast spells from your tower

Your tower gathers mana. Spend it on spells you aim yourself: meteors, lines of fire, ambushes and more.

Upgrade your keep. If it falls, you are out.

Your keep holds your watch and unlocks stronger armies as it grows through its levels. Once it stands at its last level, buy the Golden Hour: for one minute your whole army deals double damage and takes half.

Campaign, skirmish and online

  • Campaign: nine missions that teach the game step by step.

  • Skirmish: against bots, alone or with friends.

  • Online: up to six players over Steam, three against three. Bots take the empty seats.

  • Maps from 1 vs 1 to 3 vs 3, each with its own landscape and weather.
