What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Sloptoberfest is already playable and its core gameplay mechanics are in place. However, development is not yet finished. As a solo developer, I want to take the time needed to expand and improve the game and bring my many ideas to life before releasing the finished version.

That’s why Sloptoberfest will initially launch in Early Access. This allows me to develop the game alongside the community and use your feedback throughout the process. Your feedback will help me improve existing content, prioritize new features and gradually shape Sloptoberfest into the game I want it to become.
”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect the Early Access period to last around 6 to 12 months. How long development ultimately takes will also depend on player feedback. However, based on the current state of development, I am fairly confident that Sloptoberfest will be fully released on October 1, 2027. The full version will launch once the game feels polished and the most important content and improvements are in place.
”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Planned additions include:

* more content: additional events, carnival mini-games, decorations and dishes
* new and deeper gameplay mechanics centered around the festival tent
* more guests and staff to make a packed tent feel even more lively and varied
* improved characters and animations
* further balancing and economic improvements, especially during the second half of the season
”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is already fully playable and contains the complete core gameplay loop.

You can take over your own festival tent, serve guests and gradually expand your business. The current version includes:

* Festival tent with multiple tables and seats
* Serving guests and fulfilling orders
* Selling beer, pretzels and sausages
* Setting your own prices
* Cleaning up and keeping the tent clean
* Upgrading the tent and its equipment
* Unlocking toilets and additional facilities
* Hiring employees and automating tasks
* Managing your income and paying off loans
* Expanding your tent and business throughout the season
* Co-op mode for up to 4 players

The current version already offers a complete gameplay experience. During Early Access, more content, events, minigames, expansion options and improvements will be added. Balancing, animations and the economy will also continue to be refined.
”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There are currently no plans to change the price. The Early Access launch price is expected to remain the same throughout the development period.
”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will be an important part of the development from the very beginning. Feedback, bug reports and feature requests can be shared directly through Steam and our Discord server.

On Steam, you can share your experiences and suggestions. On Discord, we can stay even closer to the community, talk about upcoming content, discuss new ideas and work together on the future of Sloptoberfest.

**Join our Discord server and become part of the development!** Share your ideas, report bugs, give feedback and connect directly with other players and me. Every piece of feedback helps shape the future of Sloptoberfest.

About This Game

Your Own Beer Tent. Your Rules. Your Chaos.

Uncle Sepp didn’t leave you much. A small beer tent, a few tables, an old beer tap, and a mountain of debt. But hey, at least it’s a business. What happens next is up to you. In Sloptoberfest, you and your friends take over the tent and try to turn the little shack into a thriving business. Pour beer, serve food, keep your guests happy, and hopefully end the day with more money in the register than you started with.

The better your business does, the bigger you can get. Expand your tent, buy new equipment, build a proper bathroom, decorate the place, and hire staff when the work gets too much. Or just do everything yourselves. Eventually, you can even build your own little brewery and brew your very own beer.

Play solo or team up with up to three friends. Divide the work, organize yourselves, and try to keep the place running – or just let the chaos unfold. While you're taking care of your guests, there’s plenty more to do around the festival grounds. Play carnival games, earn some extra cash, and invest your profits back into your tent.

And then there’s Huber. His tent may be smaller than yours, but he has it out for you. While you're trying to keep your business running, Huber can sabotage your daily operations and make your life miserable. Luckily, you don’t have to take it lying down. A little sabotage of your own can make sure Huber gets a taste of his own medicine. Because at the festival, it’s not always about who has the better tent – sometimes it’s about who can annoy the other guy the most.

Beer. Friends. Chaos. And a beer tent that’s all yours. Turn it into something great – as long as Huber doesn’t ruin everything first.
