ALTARVOLT is a fast-paced retro first-person shooter with frequent, intense violence. Players shoot and melee demons and corrupted machines. Enemies bleed, lose body parts and can burst into pieces, and robots spray oil and debris when destroyed. The game uses dark horror imagery, monstrous creatures, corrupted humans and religious symbolism such as altars and sigils. There is no sexual content, and the game does not depict drug use, sexual assault or self-harm.
