About This Game

Every corridor is a decision. Every defense buys you time.

The Core: Protocol combines first-person shooter combat, exploration and base defense in an enormous maze. Head out alone or with up to three friends, gather supplies and return to strengthen your defenses and protect yourselves from the hordes. Guard your crystal or try to escape! Is there a way out? And if there is, can you find it?

Beyond the concrete walls

Narrow corridors open onto forests, snowy clearings, quarries and glowing mushroom landscapes, among other places. Changing biome distributions and building placements create new places to discover in every run. Hidden cabins, overgrown greenhouses, secret mushroom houses and more – it pays to look closely! Each time you start, the maze decides how large the areas are, what the weather is like in each place and what loot awaits you. No run will be like the one before!

Make the maze your defense

Place spike traps, wall traps, turrets, barricades and much more. Combine them at chokepoints and fight alongside them. Temporarily block entire routes to give yourself some breathing room. A good position can be just as important as a full magazine.

Explore together. Stand your ground together.

Keep an eye on the maze and the Core. Plan your next push, cover your teammates and react when enemies reach your defenses. It is not just about what waits around the next corner – it is also about whether you are ready for what follows you home.

Progression:

After each run, you can upgrade your equipment and traps in the hub.

During each run, you will find ammunition, trap-building materials and permanent currency, as well as blueprints that make you stronger for the next run … Yesterday, you barely survived 10 minutes and had to keep watching the base? Today, you might already be exploring for 20 minutes because your defenses handle the first waves with ease!
