About This Game

“Nobody ends up here by accident.

Eat with us, sleep under our roof, and put down whatever you came carrying.

You have a family now.”

She had nowhere left to go

Lilith has spent months letting things happen to her. A job she doesn't miss, a

flat she doesn't leave, a relationship that ended two days ago and that she still

turns over at night. A city that has stopped giving anything back.

It doesn't take much for her to accept an invitation: a conversation

with someone she barely knows, and the next morning a dirt road to a place she

had never heard of.

They welcome her as if they had been expecting her. A hot meal, her name said

kindly, a bed of her own. They tell her she can stay as long as she likes.

And for a few days it really is good there.

A whole community

Your New Family is a 2D narrative psychological horror adventure. There is

nothing to shoot and nowhere worth running to. What there is, is a place to live

in and people worth listening to.

You spend your days inside the community: helping out in the dining hall, tending

the garden, going along with whoever asks for you. You talk to everyone, and

everyone has something to tell you. Some of them you warm to straight away. Some

tell you more than they should. Some stop halfway through a sentence.

The fear arrives late

There are no chases here and no jump scares. The fear is the kind that catches up

with you afterwards: the kind where you turn over a perfectly kind conversation

from three days ago and suddenly read it differently.

What you'll find

  • Psychological horror told through its people. A whole community of
characters with names, histories and routines of their own, and conversations that
    branch on what you answer.

  • More than a dozen puzzles built into the world. No detached minigames:
each one is a job that somebody needs doing.

  • Notes scattered across the world for anyone who wants to dig into what
    happened here before you arrived.

Stay as long as you like. That is what they told you.
