About This Game

The Antarctica is melting... and beneath the ice, something has been waiting.

When the frozen continent began to melt, an ancient virus was released into the world. At first, the changes were almost impossible to notice.

Then the animals began to change.

Then the people.

Now the infected are becoming something else entirely and we call them.. The Hollowed.

Explore a vast wilderness, gather resources, hunt, craft equipment, and build your own shelter.

Play together, divide the work, explore dangerous locations, and try to make it back home alive.

But the greatest threat might not be outside your shelter.

The infection is changing everything.

Including you...

Explore forests, abandoned facilities, remote settlements, caves, research sites, and places where something has clearly gone very wrong.

Gather resources.

Build your shelter.

Craft what you need.

Hunt for food.

Explore the unknown.

And try to make it back before nightfall.

Because the farther you travel, the more you'll encounter things that don't belong in the natural world.

THE HOLLOWED

The virus doesn't simply kill its victims.

It changes them.

Animals and humans infected by the virus slowly undergo mutations. The changes can be subtle at first, but over time the infected become increasingly distorted from what they once were.

No two Hollowed necessarily look or behave the same. The virus appears to affect different hosts in different ways, creating creatures that can be unpredictable, aggressive, and terrifyingly familiar.

And somewhere out there, there are Hollowed that have been infected for much longer than anyone realizes.

CHECK YOURSELF

The infection isn't only something you see in enemies.

You can become infected too.

Monitor your condition and regularly check yourself for signs of infection. Changes may not always be obvious, and ignoring the warning signs could have consequences.

Your friends can become infected.

Animals can become infected.

YOU can become infected.

THERE IS MORE THAN ONE THREAT

The infected aren't the only mystery left behind by the melting ice.

Strange anomalies have begun appearing throughout the world.

Reality doesn't always behave the way it should.

Some things are dangerous.

Some things are unexplained.

And some secrets are better left buried.
