What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are developing an open-world driving and vehicle-care experience set on roads across Korea. We chose Early Access to improve road connections and collision, performance in cities, and driving feel with feedback from people playing the game. The current free driving, missions, vehicle customization and road races provide a playable foundation for that process.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect STRADA KOREA to remain in Early Access for approximately two years after its Early Access launch. During this period, we plan to focus on road and terrain stability, city driving performance, vehicle handling, and multiplayer connections. This is an estimate rather than a fixed release date; the duration may change based on testing, development progress, and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to improve the stability of road and terrain connections, optimize city driving and streaming, refine vehicle appearance and handling, and develop the variety and balance of missions and road races. We also aim to refine the connection and synchronization of player-hosted multiplayer. These are development goals, not guaranteed additions; their scope and order may change as development progresses and we receive player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version offers free driving with traffic on a nationwide road world built from map data. It includes vehicle paint and some exterior and performance customization, refueling, car washing, tire replacement, four types of missions, experience and levels, several road-race formats, Photo Mode and local saving. Facility services are currently free in-game. The game interface is currently Korean only.

Buildings and facilities remain simplified. Some road connections and collision issues, loading delays and frame-rate drops in cities still need improvement. Experimental direct-connect multiplayer supports player-hosted rooms of up to 8 and focuses on sharing vehicle positions and records. Testing across external internet connections and eight separate PCs has not yet been completed. The current version does not include a completed campaign, police pursuits, AI racers or Steam friend invitations.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the base price during Early Access as we add content and features. We therefore expect the full-release price to be higher than the initial Early Access price. The timing and size of increases have not been finalized; planned changes will be announced through Steam before they take effect.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather reports and suggestions through Steam Discussions and player feedback, particularly the locations of road problems, steps to reproduce bugs, and feedback on performance and driving feel. We intend to use this information to prioritize improvements and explain changes and remaining issues alongside updates. We cannot promise implementation of every request or a fixed update schedule.”

About This Game

Drive to the next city

STRADA KOREA is an open-world driving game set in Korea and built using real-world map data. Travel from city streets to highways and into the next town. Keep an eye on fuel and tire condition, wash away the dirt from your journey, and make the drive your own.

Jobs along the way

Find clients on city sidewalks for delivery, taxi, intercity shipping, and magazine photography jobs. Earn experience through driving, jobs, races, and new tuning work. Photography jobs take you to a destination where you photograph your car in Photo Mode.

Customize your car and challenge the roads

Visit tuning facilities to change paint, exterior parts, prepared decal patterns, engines, and brakes. Choose grip or drift tires. Services are currently free; a complete in-game economy and freely positioned decal editor are not included.
Select circuits, sprints, drag races, checkpoints, time attacks, and drift courses made from sections of the road network. Events currently compare recorded results; AI race opponents and synchronized competitive starts are not implemented.

Player-hosted multiplayer for up to eight

One player hosts a session for up to eight players over LAN or a direct internet connection, with free driving, road race, and drift modes. Vehicle positions, directions, and session best results are shared. The room closes when the host leaves. Multiplayer is experimental. Internet hosting may require a publicly reachable IPv4 address and UDP port 52771 configuration. Automatic relay connections and Steam friend invitations are not provided. Traffic, jobs, tuning appearance, and individual progress are not synchronized. Testing with eight physical PCs and external internet connections has not yet been completed.

Before buying the current version

Graphics and facilities are still in development, with simplified buildings and road structures. Using real-world map data does not mean every road, tunnel, or shop accurately matches its present-day counterpart. Some road connections, collisions, and traffic behavior remain problematic. Long loading times and frame-rate drops can occur, especially in cities.
The current game is being developed for a Korean interface and keyboard controls. A full-release date and delivery dates for future features have not been confirmed. Please base your purchase on the driving experience available now.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI was used during development to create some vegetation textures and to assist with in-game text, quest descriptions, and store copy. This content is prepared in advance and included with the game. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to third-party AI services.
