About This Game

AT THE READY is a third-person Wild West quick-draw game about the few tense seconds before a shot. Watch your rival, wait for the real signal, then draw, aim and fire. Move too soon and you foul; hesitate and you may be the one who falls.

DUEL YOUR WAY

• Face another gunslinger in 1v1 duels, or enter a three-player last-gunslinger-standing standoff.
  
• Play online with Steam friends or join a room with its six-digit code. The host can switch duel modes in the lobby, and players can choose an open seat.
  
• Take the optional Signal Caller seat: watch from gunslinger or panoramic viewpoints, send decoy calls and decide when to call the real Fire signal. With no human caller, the game handles the signal. Human-called matches keep their results but do not count toward the fastest-time leaderboard.
  
• Practice alone against a quick-drawing computer opponent. Fake draws add another layer of bluffing before the signal.

CHASE YOUR FASTEST DRAW

• In Shadow Challenge, your first winning hit creates your own Shadow from your draw timing, aim path and shot. Beat it to replace your personal best, then face the stronger Shadow next round.
  
• Compare fastest times on Steam friends and global leaderboards. Where a Shadow record is available, challenge that player's recorded duel directly from the leaderboard. Shadow Challenge uses the standard duel rules.

EVERY SHOWDOWN HAS A TWIST

• Rule Roulette changes the conditions with twists such as headshots only, a quiet signal or unsteady aim.
  
• Choose a skill card before the draw to change your approach.
  
• The shot that decides the match gets a brief cinematic camera moment.
  
• Fight in a stylized low-poly Western town where reflexes, timing and nerve matter as much as raw speed.
