Why Early Access?

“Leif's Garden Tower is content-complete for launch, all core systems, story, and dialogue are built and working. I'm using Early Access to get the game in front of real players while we finish the art pass, polish pacing and economy, and take community feedback on the engagement systems before calling it 1.0. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect the game to be in early access between August and December of 2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core loop, story, and all planned plants, customers, and rooms are already playable in Early Access. I plan to use this time to complete the full art and audio pass, refine pacing based on player feedback, and polish the engagement and progression systems. I'm also exploring possible post-launch content such as new plant tiers and additional rooms.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All core gameplay systems are complete and playable: growing and selling plants, the customer and decor systems, the Plantopedia, and the full story through the game's ending. Some art and audio are still being finalized, and I'm actively tuning pacing and balance based on playtesting.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I don't currently plan to change the price when the game leaves Early Access, though I may gradually raise the price once it has a solid footing.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'm building alongside an Instagram and Discord community of playtesters who help shape balance, pacing, and feature feedback throughout Early Access, and we'll keep sharing devlogs and listening to feedback as development continues, as well as growing the community.”
