The PatchWorld Demo gives you free entry into PatchWorld’s live creative sandbox, built for creativity, exploration, multiplayer participation, and so much more. Jump into community worlds, build interactive devices, play with instruments and machines, join shared spaces, and start bringing your imagination to life.

Build, patch, play together 

Patching is programming made physical. Grab blocks, connect them, change what they do, and see what happens while everything keeps running. Connect a few blocks into a small machine, instrument, toy or game mechanic. PatchWorld is easy to pick up yet deep enough to keep you tinkering for hours.

A Feature-Packed Demo 

Explore community worlds, enter interactive stories, and discover what PatchWorld creators are building: from walking robot dogs and visual synths to remote-controlled helicopters, puppet shows and live musical performances. You do not need to build anything first. Start by playing, exploring and opening things up to understand how they work and remixing them 

Then start building with the Starter Creator Toolkit. Create your first world with a curated set of creative blocks so you can begin patching for yourself. Experiment with sound, visuals, logic, physics, movement, interaction and simple world behaviours. 

One Patching Community 

PatchWorld is made for shared creation and shared play. Join public spaces, jams, workshops or community sessions, and see how others build, perform and experiment together. Show up, play, learn from others, and start building when you are ready. 

PCVR and Desktop 

Begin your patching journey in VR or on desktop! The Demo supports PCVR and Desktop access, where you can enter PatchWorld without a headset, explore worlds, join shared spaces, interact, spectate and use camera tools. 

Unlock Full PatchWorld 

Full PatchWorld unlocks the complete creator toolkit. With the full version, you can go beyond the Starter Creator Toolkit and access the deeper PatchWorld creation system, including:

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

PatchWorld includes optional generative AI tools that players can use to create custom content for their worlds and devices.

Players can generate images, 360° skyboxes, 3D meshes, and audio samples by entering text prompts using in-game tools such as the GenieBox device or scripting blocks. Each generation is initiated directly by the player and takes a short amount of time to complete.

Generated content can be used to decorate worlds, create sound effects, and build custom musical instruments. By default, all generated content remains private to the creator and is only shared with others if the player chooses to publish their world.

Generative AI features are entirely optional and are designed to support creativity, experimentation, and collaborative world-building.
