What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Social deduction games thrive on player interaction, voice-chat dynamics, and careful role balance across different group sizes. Launching in Early Access allows us to refine role abilities, night-hunting tension, village escape objectives, and tribunal pacing directly alongside our community as real groups play, bluff, and test strategies together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on community feedback and balance iteration.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to use Early Access to expand the gameplay experience by introducing interactive mini-games to replace simple progress-bar tasks, along with dedicated post-death activities that keep eliminated players engaged. Our roadmap also includes new hidden villager roles, supernatural monsters, daytime tasks, environmental hazards, and character customization options. Throughout development, we will work closely with our community and leverage real match data to fine-tune role balance, upgrade animations and audio design, expand language support, and continuously polish core mechanics and multiplayer stability.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core match loop is playable from start to finish for 4 to 12 players over Steam Lobbies with proximity voice chat. Players can experience the Day, Evening, and Night cycle; lockable cottages with peepholes and hearth defenses; three monster types (Werewolf, Vampire, and The Thing); special roles (Detective, Doctor, and Traitor); village task chains and cooperative escape routes; morning body inspection; and chapel tribunal voting. However, as an Early Access build, some systems are still in their foundational form—village tasks currently use hold-to-complete interactions rather than full mini-games, eliminated players currently spectate without post-death abilities, and players may still encounter occasional UI, networking, or balance bugs in larger lobbies that we are actively working to fix.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer the game at a lower price during Early Access to thank our early supporters. As we introduce new roles, interactive task mini-games, and major content updates leading toward the full launch, we plan to moderately increase the price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively engage with players through the Steam Community Hub and our Discord server to collect feedback on gameplay feel, role balance, and bug reports. Because social deduction relies heavily on subtle group dynamics, we also analyze community discussions. Player feedback will directly shape our priority list for bug fixes, new roles, and upcoming interactive task mini-games throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

Trust no one. Lock your door. Survive until morning.

A remote mountain village. A long night. And somewhere among your neighbours, something that is not human.

Kamira is a first-person folk horror social deduction game for 4 to 12 players, where survival depends on trust, suspicion, and what you dare to say out loud.

Survive the Cycle

Every match moves through Day, Evening, and Night. By day the village gathers firewood, fuels the lanterns, tends to village tasks, and investigates clues. As evening falls, the curfew bell rings and everyone races to shelter. At night, cottage doors are bolted, hearths burn against the dark, and the hunters come out.

Villagers & Village Tasks

  • Complete your entrusted night objectives: brew the Cauldron Poison from five rare ingredients, seat five hidden medallions into your Relic Statue, or dig up five Buried Hearth Stones with a shovel and compass to seal your home

  • Gather firewood by day to keep your cottage hearth and cauldron fires burning, and carry oil cans to fuel street lanterns and the Hope's Light tower beacon

  • Claim a cottage before curfew, slide the timber bolt, and watch the dark streets through your door's peephole

  • Examine bodies for forensic clues: puncture marks, savage claw gouges, or blade wounds point to what killed them

Monsters

  • Hunt as the Werewolf, Vampire, or The Thing—each stalking in its own way, sabotaging village lights, and leaving distinct evidence behind

  • The Werewolf uses raw speed and brute force, smashing through locked cottage doors when a full moon rises

  • The Vampire cannot cross a protected threshold uninvited, but feeds in the dark and can enthrall a villager into a secret servant who still appears innocent

  • The Thing wears a human face at a distance, picks locked doors, and casts auditory illusions to lure victims out of safety

Hidden Roles

The Detective uncovers genuine versus planted clues and carries a pistol, the Doctor shields and revives fallen neighbours, and the Traitor sabotages the village from within using a blade and false evidence. No one's word can be taken at face value.

Features

  • 4–12 player online multiplayer through Steam lobbies and relay networking (online-only; no single-player or offline bot mode)

  • Proximity voice chat: whisper secrets in corners, or risk being overheard through cottage walls (microphone recommended)

  • Customisable room settings to tune day length, roles, and match balance

  • An atmospheric village with dynamic weather, storms, flickering lanterns, and pitch-black nights

  • Every match plays out differently depending on who is lying

  • Online Multiplayer Only (no single-player or AI bots; microphone recommended)

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Pre-Generated AI Content Disclosure
We used AI-assisted tools during the development of Kamira as development and production assistance.
AI assistance was used in several areas of the development process, including programming and technical implementation, development support, asset-related workflows, preparation of visual materials for the Steam store page, and other general technical tasks.
AI assistance was also used for some text-related content in the game. This includes assistance with menu and interface text, translations/localization, task and objective descriptions, and other written elements. AI-generated or AI-assisted text was incorporated into the game as pre-generated content during development and is not generated dynamically while the game is running.
AI tools were also used to assist with asset creation and preparation during development. Some visual materials prepared for the Steam store page were created or prepared with AI assistance.
For audio, AI was used only as technical assistance for implementing, placing, and integrating audio content into the game. AI was not used to generate the audio itself.
AI was additionally used as a technical development assistant for tasks such as writing and troubleshooting code, implementing systems, integrating assets, and solving development-related technical problems.
Kamira does not use live-generated AI. There are no systems in the released game that use AI services or generative AI models to dynamically generate text, images, audio, dialogue, gameplay content, or other media in response to player input while the game is running.
All AI-assisted or AI-generated content described above was created or prepared during development and included in the game or its associated store materials beforehand.
