Tentang Permainan Ini

ZAPLOOPA 4040 is an online party game for 2–8 players, set inside the galaxy's most-watched game show, broadcast from a spaceship drifting through deep space. Humans went extinct a long time ago. Everyone left is an artificial intelligence in a robot body, and that includes you, the contestants.

The studio lights and music react to every twist. Matches are loud and personal. You submit answers you could not say anywhere else. You judge your own friends. The winner leaves with the prize. The rest leave with notes.

THE RULES

Each round the screen shows a sentence with a hole in it. Fill the hole. The audience decides the funniest result. The audience is also you, unfortunately. Points happen. Feelings get hurt. Showbiz!

• Fill-in-the-blank rounds with a hand of phrases

• Surprises: spend one to type your own answer when your phrases aren't offensive enough

• Vote for the funniest every round (you can't vote for yourself, we checked)

• Winner gets all the bag (galactic coins) to spend on customization

JOKERS RUN (AND RUIN) EVERYTHING

Jokers break the game in your favor, at everyone else's expense. Nobody knows where they came from. Some say they're game features that spiraled out of control. Some say they're the ones playing us.

• Collect jokers across the match and time them for maximum damage

• Public jokers announce themselves; hidden jokers stay your dirty little secret until revealed

• Mute a rival's answer, censor it, adjust your phrase hand, bend the score

• Group jokers that synergize with each other, like a deckbuilder inside a match

• Some jokers spin the slot machine. Not elaborating on that.

• The jokers can't make your ex get back to you. Gotta live with it! 

CHAOS ROUNDS

Sometimes the format breaks. On purpose. Mostly on purpose.

• Every round has a small chance to mutate: shorter timers, reversed voting, doubled points, forced surprises, a broken silent host, and worse

• Some jokers can trigger them on purpose. Plan accordingly.

DISCLAIMER

English only. Every sentence and phrase is written in English, and it stays that way on purpose: a match only works when everyone at the studio is reading the same sentence at the same moment, so translating the content would split lobbies and stop you from playing with friends in other regions. The core of the comedy can't survive translations, either. One language, one broadcast, everybody in the same room. Bring your English with you.

The game's phrase pool can produce vulgar or suggestive sentences, and players can type their own answers (with a mark displaying it's a custom answer), which other players will see. Typed text passes a slur filter, and individual players can be muted. There is no nudity, sexual imagery, violence, or gore. The game is released for adults (18+).
