Please note it is very important that you read below before deciding if you want to support HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed this early.

HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed is an incomplete game in PRE-ALPHA.

You are likely going to experience issues and possible disruptions when playing HC:U. If you do not want to actively support development of the game and cannot cope with interruptions then it may not be for you.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

Class-based character system
We will constantly build on our cooperative gameplay, adding distinct stats, abilities and class-based playstyles is just the first step towards that.

Trading card ‘Power-ups’
Putting more power in your hands, well.. your deck. Trading Card power ups will change the game dynamically by introducing new methods to assault your enemies, provide support and traverse the world.

Boss NPC's
Whilst each of our enemies pose a new threat and bring different mechanics to bear, we'll be mixing up the dynamic with new end of wave Bosses. These deadly foes will require teamwork and coordination to overcome; live together, die alone.

Endless Mode!
Warning: Only for true masochists. Fight for survival against a limitless horde.

“The price of Early Access will be lower than the price of final released version. The final price of the game will increase based on the contents and value of the game. We also have plans to reward those who have been with us from the beginning.”

Preview - New Attachments: Sniper & Scope!



Hey Action Heroes,

Soon to come with Early Access 2.0
Specifically, the Sniper or Scope can be used in combination with other attachments and weapons, such as rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers etc, this applies to any weapon or attachment. It's up to you how you mix and match them. Each attachment has its own attribute. We'll release more information regarding this soon.

Early Access 2.0 – Development Progress - Dino's, UFO's & much more!


Hi all,

THIS IS JUST A PROGRESS ANNOUNCEMENT, NO UPDATE HAS BEEN RELEASED.

I hope you are having a great weekend so far! Guess what, it's about to get a whole lot better.


Gameplay
To reiterate, you no longer defend just 1 Core, but instead 3.

The reason being is because currently, the gameplay is way too static and linear. It doesn’t force much change in view of how you move across the environment as a player. Having multiple Cores to protect allows enemies to attack from new heights, different angles and are more dangerous because of their new pathing. This also puts more of an emphasis on teamwork. Oh, and let’s not forget to mention; you find new weapons and attachments which are scattered across the map as each wave progresses.


If you remember our previous development progress announcement, we mentioned a lot of stuff we were working on. Well take a look below and see for yourself. (Below are WIPs and are not final representations of whats to come in full release of the game)

Cargo Plane
I'd be careful, not only does the plane itself have a weapon, but Army Men parachute from it.



UFO
You'll know when they're coming because of their scary engine noise. If they have engines that is...



Dinosaurs
I mean, you're going to need a big gun...



Jump Pad
Reach new heights, very quickly.



Big Meatbag Demolisher
It will demolish you. Better watch out for its secret weapon...


Unlock System & Stats
Build up your points so you can unlock cool new cosmetic skins!



Robotic Gibbing
Think a headshot will put it down? Nope. Maybe a few round at its torso? Also nope. They'll just keep coming.


Barricades
You can now build much more defences. This ranges from Barbed Wire, Tank Traps, Bunkers, Jump Pads and more.


Marker
Pinpoint areas making it easier to describe whereabouts of enemies or items to teammates.

UPDATE 02 - MAJOR CHANGES TO CORE GAMEPLAY


We've listened to your feedback and implemented the most requested features asked for. Please view the full Change Log to see all of the changes.

NEW PLACEMENT SYSTEM:

More freedom to build. You are no longer limited to set positions when it comes to placing your defences. Within the grid, players can now place their turrets and traps almost anywhere on the floor.

NEW ENEMIES:

Watch out for those Helicopters that drop deadly bombs on top of you. Be also vigilant as the Army Man Jeep has a powerful .50 Cal Machine Gun and is ready to destroy you!

NEW UPGRADE SYSTEM FOR TURRETS:

You can now upgrade your Turrets with the credits earned by surviving waves and destroying enemies.

NEW TRAPS:

Damage and slow down your enemies by placing devastating traps that will help you survive each wave.

NEW LOADOUT SYSTEM:

Players can now benefit from the improved loadout system while being able to choose from any 3 buildables they like.


It doesn't end here. We are developing the game with our community and can't wait to show you what's on the shelf for our next update.

About This Game


HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed pits up to 4 of your friends against relentless waves of enemies in a CO-OP experience. As the enemy become stronger, can you handle the pressure of each wave? Work as a team to build your defenses and expand your base. Increase your chances of survival by gathering Batteries and maintain power to your defenses.

Fight off weaponised toys that will swarm your base with the sole intent of wanting to destroy the Core. Use teamwork and choose your weapon!




Assemble barricades, fences and use traps to slow down the enemy. Construct a selection of devastating turrets that are suited for different occasions.




Swarms of enemies begin to overwhelm you. Stop them from breaching your base and protect the Core.




Sooner or later your defenses will run out of power. It’s up to you to maintain and supply power to them. How long can you and your allies survive?
