About This Game

PROFANUM is a first-person medieval horror action RPG built around deliberate, commitment-based combat and a world that has been preserved past its natural end.

You are a Paladin of the Church of Man, sent alone into an ancient forest after Commander Garrion and his Vigil Knights stop reporting from Briarholt.

Your orders are simple: find them, determine what happened, and report back.

COMBAT WITH WEIGHT

Every swing commits.

Manage stamina, read your opponent, and choose when to attack, block, parry, or create distance. A clean parry can open a brief window for a devastating riposte, while exhaustion, guard breaks, and lost poise can turn a fight against you in seconds.

Melee combat is the heart of PROFANUM, supported by shields, bows, crossbows, ranged weapons, and Faith-powered miracles.

BUILD YOUR PALADIN

Choose weapons, armor, miracles, and Talents that change how you approach combat.

Heavy equipment offers protection at the cost of mobility. Weapon families differ in speed, reach, defensive ability, and impact.

Miracles offer powerful supernatural tools, but Faith is limited. Casting takes time, leaves you vulnerable, and every use is a decision.

BRIARHOLT

Briarholt was once an ordinary fortified settlement.

Its market stalls still hold their goods.

Its chapel candles have never burned down.

Its people are still there.

They are the Profane.

The Rites of Preservation were meant to protect mankind from decline. Instead, flesh, purpose, and memory were held beyond their natural conclusion, and something remained that should not exist.
