[h1]Catch of the Day[/h1]

Catch of the Day is a stylized 3D fishing game. Create your angler, cast, and fight the reel — then sell your catch, upgrade your gear, and collect 30+ fish. Fish are your opponents: puffers bluff, sharks bet big, sirens cheat. The bite is just the beginning: run, headshake, rest — the reel fight is a duel of reads and nerves. And between casts, the gamblers' tent by the shore is always open — dice and poker, with gold for the clever.

The Reel Fight

After the hook set, the fish cycles through three behaviors — each with exactly one right answer:

• Run — it bolts, the line screams out, tension spikes. Reeling now snaps your line! Raise your drag and let it run;
  
• Headshake — violent tension spikes, low reward, high risk of unhooking. Hold steady, don't force it;
  
• Rest — the fish tires, tension drops. This is your window: reel hard and win back the line.

Switch between three drag settings with A/D, strike and reel with the left mouse button. Pull the line back to zero and the fish is yours. Snap the line, lose the hook, or empty your spool — all three failures are real. Bigger fish hit harder, run farther, and throw your hook more often. They deserve your best line and your steadiest hand.

The Gamblers' Tent

Every venue has a campfire gamblers' tent by the shore, open whenever you are:

• Dice — a best-of-three series: first to two wins takes the pot. Bet once per series (10/50/100 gold); win and it pays back double;
  
• Poker — face a randomly drawn fish across the table. Watch it bluff, raise, even swap hole cards. Win three in a row for a 300-gold bonus.

The tent only moves gold — your catch stays in the crate. Fish shards and achievement rewards come from daily orders, festival tasks and your codex.

Every fish has a tell

• Clownfish — a conservative teacher for your first catch;
  
• Pufferfish — a master bluffer; watch it puff up, then read through it;
  
• King Carp — lazy and laid-back, the easiest bite;
  
• Lanternfish — an aggressive night hunter, twice as common after dark;
  
• Shark — bold, aggressive, bets big;
  
• Siren — a legendary cheat who swaps her hole cards… and the moment she does, you can catch her.

Three venues today, the sea tomorrow

• Practice Pond — free entry, wooden fence, morning mist. Learn the full flow;
  
• Wild Lake — a forest lake: wind and air pressure shift the bite, your spot decides your catch. Entry: 450 gold;
  
• Lure Arena — a city competition venue with predator-only fish: walk-and-cast, timed scoring, gear sensitivity makes the difference. Entry: 500 gold.

Catch today, live in town

Every catch records weight and quality. Back in town, you pick the buyer: the fish market pays a fair price, restaurants buy what their menu needs — seasonal and plump fish fetch a premium. Same catch, different deal. Turn that gold into better bait, carbon rods, stronger lines and hooks — or craft baits from scales, bones and weeds. Daily orders and festivals keep the town busy; snap a photo of your trophy and log it in your codex. 30+ fish, each with a personality — your crate, your codex and your achievements are waiting for the first legendary.
