Why Early Access?

“We chose to release MusicManiaz in Early Access so we can see how players respond to the current game experience and use real player feedback to guide further development and improvements.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This may change depending on player feedback and the progress of development, but we currently expect the Early Access period to last approximately six months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to improve game balance, controls, usability, and the user interface based on player feedback.

We are also considering additional features and game modes, such as multiplayer and a story mode. The exact scope of the full version will be determined as development progresses and as we receive feedback from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core rhythm game systems are already implemented, and players can enjoy a variety of included songs.

Players can also import their own music and use it to play within the game.

During Early Access, we plan to continue improving game balance, controls, UI, and other aspects of the game while developing additional features based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase as major features and additional content are added during Early Access and as the game approaches its full release.

If we decide to change the price, we plan to announce it to the community in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather feedback through the Steam Community, including suggestions for improvements, requested features, and general feedback about the game.

We will use this feedback to guide development and, where possible, incorporate community suggestions into future updates.”

About This Game

MusicManiaz is an easy-to-pick-up rhythm game where you play along to a wide variety of lo-fi tracks on drums.

The game includes over 20 lo-fi tracks, with more than 50 songs available from the start when other genres are included.

In addition to the original soundtrack, you can also import your own favorite songs and automatically generate playable charts for them, letting you enjoy your music as much as you like.

Please only use music that you have legally obtained and are permitted to use for personal purposes.

How to Play

Choose a song from the song selection screen, select a PLAY PART and difficulty, then press START to begin.

In addition to Drums, PLAY PART also lets you choose Melody or All Mix.

Once the song begins, press the corresponding button when the notes reach the white timing frame.

Your timing accuracy determines whether you receive a Perfect, Great, Good, or Miss judgment.

Miss too many notes and your life will run out, causing you to fail the song before it ends.

Aim for #1 on the Steam Leaderboards!

Your scores are recorded on the Steam leaderboards.

Master each song, improve your score, and aim for the #1 spot!

Add Your Own Songs

From the MY SONGS tab, select ADD SONG to import your own music and play it in MusicManiaz.

Charts are generated automatically, so you can even turn songs by your favorite artists into playable rhythm-game tracks.

Imported audio files and generated charts are stored only on your PC. They are not uploaded to Steam Cloud or submitted to the leaderboards.

One small wording note: I changed “Steam Ranking” to “Steam Leaderboards”, since that’s the terminology Steam normally uses.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

This game includes assets created with generative AI during development (official music, song artwork, and drum animations). Nothing is generated while you play, and the game does not connect to an AI service at runtime. Players cannot send prompts to any AI.
