About This Game

One coin. One name. Forever.

It's raining. You're in a back street you probably shouldn't be in.

There's a man standing there.

Stay a bit... don't be afraid.

Five minutes

That's how long this takes, and it isn't pretending otherwise.

No combat. No puzzles. Nothing to fail.

Just listen to this strange man.

Relax, there's a fire to stand near. A radio you can turn on. A stool, if you'd rather sit.

One wall is covered floor to ceiling in post-it notes — a name on every square.

The man hands you a pen.

Your name will go up, with a number that belongs to nobody else.

Why it costs a coin

I'm a solo developer, and I'm building a bigger game called SCRAWLERZ.

This is a way I'm paying for it — one coin at a time, from people who stopped.

The wall is the receipt.

The small print

Your name stays on the wall for as long as you own a game copy in your library.

If enough people stop, this might end up as the longest list of names on Steam....

But that part isn't up to me.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Suno (commercial rights) was used to generate the game's music and the hobo's spoken lines, then hand-selected and edited to match the tone of the game. The translated dialogues were produced with the assistance of a language model.

The game's design and direction are entirely my own. All visuals are generated procedurally by the game's own code.
